“…1291 la Repubblica di Venezia decretò che le vetrerie fossero trasferite a Murano, dal momento che i forni dei laboratori erano spesso responsabili di disastrosi incendi…”. Nasce così la storia e la leggenda dell’isola di vetro! Murano diventa un paradiso di creatività, un’isola dove ogni attività concerne il vetro, si lega al vetro e di vetro vive. Murano isola di Venezia, un’isola nell’isola. Oggi come allora a Murano nella fornace di la murrina i maestri vetrai mescolano saggiamente tecniche e alchimie, abilità manuali e arte, soffiano e plasmano il vetro materia dalla consistenza aerea e tenace. Nascono così i prodotti di la murrina, nel rispetto della tradizione e lo sguardo al futuro.
