EHS Dads Club and Parents Association, EHS Food Services; Jessica Brown, Jessica Morales, Charlie Holt - CommunicationsRisa D’souza is a Houston native, where she began her training in the MET too Youth Company performing works by Pattie Obey and Kiesha White. She attended HSPVA and in her senior year, had the opportunity to dance in Tidal Intersections by Katarzyna Skarpetwoska with METdance in 2010. She holds a BFA in dance from Point Park University where she performed works by Randy Duncan, Alejandro Cerrudo, Ohad Naharin, Toru Shimazaki, Doug Bentz, and Garfield Lemonius. Risa was awarded a scholarship to the 2013 Parsons Dance Summer Intensive. Upon graduation, she danced with Reed Dance performing works by Terence Green and Christopher Huggins. She danced with METdance for five seasons, was company liaison in her last year, and performed works by Kyle Abraham, Josh Manculich, Mario Zambrano, Rosie Herrera, Joshua Peugh, Camille A. Brown, Joe Celej, Larry Keigwin, Jess Hendricks, jhon stronks, Kiki Lucas, Katarzyna Skarpetowska, and many more. She debuted with the Houston Symphony in 2019. Risa has performed on tour at the Inside/Out Stage at Jacob’s Pillow, Jo Long Theatre, Colorado Springs Theater, Arts Midwest Conference, Austin Dance Festival, Dallas Dance Fest, Green Box Arts Festival, Spring to Dance, Ohio Dance Festival, and Red Rocks Dance Festival. Risa is a founding member of Houston Contemporary where she danced for 3 seasons and performed works by Sean Aaron Carmon, Robbie Moore, Jenn Mabus, Marlana Doyle, Hanna Brictson, and many more. Currently, Risa is freelancing, teaching, and is the studio company director for Enrich Dance Company.
Dwain Travis, a Houston native, trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC. He started his professional career with a company in Houston, BAHBT, where he spent four years as principal. Other credits include Houston Ballet, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, the Joffrey Ballet's JKO School, the Harid Conservatory, and Houston METdance. Dwain’s choreographic work has been featured at the
RDA National festival in Montreal, Barnstorm Dance Fest, Austin Dance Project, and Houston Choreographers X6. Most recently he became co-founder of Juxtapose Arts Collective as well as inaugural member at Houston Contemporary Dance Company.
Oliver Halkowich grew up in South Florida. He performed in Miami City Ballet's first Nutcracker at the age of seven, fell in love with both Tchaikovsky and ballet and migrated west to train at the San Francisco Ballet School. In 2001, he began his professional dance career back on the east coast with the Boston Ballet. A year later, he settled on middle ground in Texas. He joined Houston Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member in 2002 and rose through the ranks to First Soloist dancing 19 seasons with the company. He has danced a variety of classical, contemporary and character roles: the socially awkward Alain in Sir Frederick Ashton's La Fille mal Gardee, the misunderstood stepsister in Stanton Welch's Cinderella, the jazzy couple in red in George Balanchine's Rubies and the bulldog sailor in Jerome Robbin's Fancy Free. He has also performed in work by Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Hans Van Manen, Christopher Bruce, Mark Morris, Ben Stevenson OBE, Justin Peck, Aszure Barton and Jerome Robbins, among others. Oliver has choreographed for Houston Ballet, Dance Alive National Ballet, Houston Contemporary Dance company, Mercury Ensemble, the Texas Contemporary Art Fair, the Blaffer Museum, Houston Cinema Arts Society, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and Moody Center for the Arts. Alongside his good friends and fellow dancers, Melody Mennite and Connor Walsh, he co-produces REACH, a platform for Houston dancers and choreographers to create new work while raising money for arts education. He co-choreographed What we keep with Melody Mennite and Connor Walsh for Houston Ballet's performances at the George R. Brown Convention Center in 2018. He debuted his first solo commission Following for Houston Ballet’s 50th Anniversary season in 2019.

Terri Ayanna Wright is a New York-based performing artist, hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana by way of Houston, Texas. After her studies at the Ailey School, she toured internationally with Ailey II, and has since been granted opportunities to produce performances and choreograph throughout the United States and teach modern/contemporary master classes across the globe. Ms. Wright continues to perform as a freelance artist, most recently as a member of the dance ensemble at The Met Opera (Porgy & Bess 2019; 2021, Madama Butterfly 2022).
She is also a recent honors MFA graduate from Parsons in Design & Technology, with a focus on digital video production. In combining this with her undergrad degree in dance from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, she has been able to expand her storytelling capabilities through the marriage of live performance, dance in choreography, and visual effects. Notable credits: Director & Choreographer for Inside Out short dance film (premiered at Utah Dance Film Festival 2022), Rehearsal Director for Suga’ VR Experience (premiered at Sundance New Frontiers 2022), Co-Director and Editor for Beauty Size & Color Documentary (All Arts WNet Group 2022) , Production Coordinator for TITANS (Ample Entertainment/History Channel 2022).
In high school, Terri was Colonel of her dance team at Clear Springs, and enjoyed choreographing her own solos as well as group dances. Since then, she returns “home” to Houston every summer to teach master classes and set works (both concert and competition) at various schools of dance. Her work has gained recognition at competitions including YAGP, NYCDA, StageOne, Starbound, and Jump. She is looking forward to setting work at Episcopal High School this Summer!
