Previous research from "Cancer Reserach UK"
Desk research Through the desk research, we found news about the "excessive sugar intake of breakfast for British children", which has a long-term impact on children's physical and psychological. We list down three main problems of obesity may affect children's life. • Children with obesity have the difficulty of reducing weight after they grow up. • Childhood obesity will lead to serious illness. • Childhood obesity will cause psychological problems and bullism. Following up this three perspective of the problem,we gave our hypothesis of the user group we want to investigate in ,thinking of what kind of situations the problem may happen to them and what are the frustrations for them.
How might we . . . We chose one scenario we think the children will get in touch with most frequently. The fast-food restaurant, and the stakeholders it may refer to, including the parents, restaurants and the menu. We confirmed our research problem on"How might we help them cultivate the healthy eating habit in the fast-food restaurant?" Then we listed the behaviour of the target user and the related stakeholders under the circumstances of ordering food in the fast-food restaurant" and then we found some touchpoints among them.
1.Field Research Based on the current progress, we went to one fast food restaurant to observe peopleʼs behaviour and the restaurant service and their menu. We found that in one burger restaurant, they provide the kidʼs menu but donʼt show more detail about the ingredients information. As well in their dining area, they did the visualization of their products but the information is not delivered clearly.

2.Insight and chances Through the observation of kids in the fast food resturant and desserts shop in Glasgow,we also did an interview on one adult and a staff works in the resturant and we found some insights through the interview.
What we see . . .
What we hear. . .
Resturant: A lot of children having food with their parents and one child want to eat more so he asked his mon to buy more sweets for him.
Adult: When they go outside the parents indicate to the children which can be the best choices for him and then the child can make decision by himself.
Dessert shop: Calories are shown on the screen and a lot of children ordered donuts.
Staff: He knows the differences of food and basic knowledge of nutritional aspect.
3.What if. . . • Make the kid's menu to help kid's order healthy food? • remind parents to educate the kid's when they make a order? • let parents know which choice is better? • make kid's change their mind when they are eager to eat unhealthy food? • educate the staff about the knowledge of nutrition aspect? ....
