PRAISE & PRAYER
Praise God for the lives of the students whom He continually called for His purpose in reaching out their fellow students. Praise God for our volunteers who had sacrificially set aside some of their time to do campus work. Praise God for our eight faithful donors who have helped sustain the needs of the region. Pray for a good rest and meaningful time spent with the staff families and friends as we retreat to our provinces for the Christmas break. Pray that God will raise up more volunteers to partner with us in the campuses and for more donors to give to the needs of the region. Pray for our Annual Staff Conference on January 5-14 @ Batangas. Pray for wisdom as we plan for the summer events and for a meaningful time of hearing God’s Word. Pray for provisions for IVCF too.

Never did it cross my mind to be assigned in Luzon – Metro Manila in particular. So when I received the letter informing me of my new assignment as a Full Time Staff, I was disturbed. Metro Manila? Wow! This region is completely opposite to the lifestyle I am used to. If not only because of His promise I would not be here. My first months in this region were faced with several struggles. The travel times are stressful and long; there is traffic and noise everywhere. People are more culturally diverse. Students face struggles and issues that I think are unreasonable. continued on page 3 DONATE TO

But God put me here. I praise Him for this new assignment substantiated my understanding and affirmation of this student ministry. I have the privilege of working with a team. I am no longer a lone ranger! The bulk of work, the struggles I encountered, the challenges I face and will be facing became lighter knowing that I have a support in the staff team.
The U-Belt Student Center has been operational for almost four months now. In what ways did it help you or your chapter? Many of us can now attend Night of Prayers because it is nearer our school. We also get to know IVCF students from other chapters in Manila. It broadens our perspective with the ministry. It is encouraging to know other Christian youths praying for the UPGs and other chapters. -PCU Students The Student Center has been our venue for our regular Bible Studies and small group meetings. Now, we don’t have to endure the noisy restaurants to meet. -TUP & CEU Students There are times that I lose grip on the assurance God gave me in the beginning. But His grace sustains me. He is indeed faithful in keeping His promises. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” –Joshua 1:9 “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go… for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” – Genesis 28:15
As I continue my journey with Him in MMRU, it is my prayer that God will let me see a strengthened student initiative in every chapter; student leaders who are passionate in reaching their fellow students; who will steadfastly run the race of faith even as they graduate. Amen.

GOD used IVCF “When I was a child, I thought having a little knowledge about God is enough. I never knew about the real essence of Christianity. Whenever someone asks me to participate in church activities, I hardly make a nod. My plans and perspectives was my central aim than none could intervene. But self-indulgence dragged me down to despair. No matter how hard I try circumstances always fall contrary to what I want; this turmoil is coupled with emerging shortcomings. Pressure starts to bother me, until the pain is unbearable. What should I do? The deafening silence of our home made me think that no one cares. I can’t scream out of self-pity because what I need is someone to cry on, cling on and talk to. Now, everything is in vain. My best friend led me to start anew. She taught me that God is in control of everything. I was reminded that He knows my every desire. I have kept this knowledge to my heart until college. My cousins introduced me to IVCF. Now that I am willing to learn, I joined Kalasag Christian Fellowship. Every meeting is priceless and worthy. And it became more amazing when I joined LCDCs 2010 and 2011. I have dug deeper about Christianity that it touches every aspect of my life. I thought all the burdens were buried upon my shoulder. But now, knowing how Christ died on the cross to redeem us, I realized that I was on a great mishap. IVCF leads me closer to God. I am now running away from the bondage of ignorance. IVCF become an instrument for me to wholeheartedly share my countless blessings and my life as a living testimony. I was held captive of my own desires before, but now, God is carrying me in His arms. He has freed me from all anxieties. Indeed, God knows what on earth we are here for.” Lea Landicho 2nd year BSFoodTech PUP Sta. Mesa A Prayer for the Second Semester 2011-2012 Heavenly Father, I know my words wouldn't be enough to express my gratitude in serving you through GTCF for the past two semesters. I praise you Father for Your wisdom, protection and guidance during the last semesters. I thank You Father that we, GTCFers, can put our hope in You for the next semesters to come. Father, I also praise You for the people you've used to be part of the success of every done activities. I also want to thank You for the life of the new student leaders who have committed to serve You. May You give them the wisdom they'll be needing. Continually bless every activity they've planned to make Your name known in UST. Father, I wouldn't accomplished things without You and I continuously entrust You everything. I asked all of these through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen. Christiemae Anne Mirabel 4th Year Pharmacy, UST GTCF President 2010-2011
