COASTAL GEORGIA READS BELOVED

Golden Isles Arts & Humanities in partnership with our local libraries and sponsors presents the NEA Big Read, which will kick off First Friday, February 4, in downtown Brunswick. Two months of unique and varied Big Read programming that includes something for everyone will follow in various locations. This year’s chosen novel is Beloved by Toni Morrison. It has been described as a “wholly unique reading experience – part ghost story, part romance, part domestic drama, part gripping chronicle of enslavement” in which Morrison “humanizes the historical record through the lives of specific individuals.” A complete schedule of events and NEA Big Read Resource Guide will be available on the Golden Isles Arts & Humanities website in the Big Read section under the Programs tab at goldenislesarts.org.
