Cassina Garden Club’s Annual Christmas

Bake Sale takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Historic Tabby Cabins and Gardens on Gascoigne Bluff. The “Best Bake Sale in the South” features delicious homemade cakes, pies, breads, candies, cookies, and other holiday treats and gifts. Cabin tours also offered. Join the ACS Victory Board for Merry Movies at GTC Island Cinemas starting at 10:00 a.m. Kids are invited to wear their PJs for a picture with Santa and watch either Disney cartoon Mickey’s Christmas Carol (26 min.) or The Polar Express (1 hr. 40 min.). Enjoy a cozy evening in the lobby at Oaks on the River in Darien with complimentary cookies, spiced cider, hot cocoa, and classic holiday tunes performed by Christmas Carolers in full Dickens-themed costumes from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Check out the gingerbread houses created by local students on display in the lobby and vote for your favorite. Watch as Santa and his many friends make their way around Jekyll Island in a variety of vehicles lit up in their holiday best during the Holly Jolly Jekyll Light Parade from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Crafts in the Village is back at Postell Park in the Village on SSI. Shop the wares of artists, crafters, and artisan makers for jewelry, pottery,

This Christmas Eve when Santa

makes his traditional rounds on St. Simons

Island atop Ol’ Engine 32, he’ll make three stops to hand out stockings and greet children. Leaving the firehouse at 5:00 p.m., he’ll start at the SSI Casino Building, then head to Shops at Demere, and make his last stop at Oglethorpe Point Elementary School. As always, the EIL elves will try to keep you advised of his progress that night on our Facebook page.
