Agenda 2030 L’Agenda 2030 per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile è un programma d’azione per le persone, il pianeta e la prosperità sottoscritto nel settembre 2015 dai governi dei 193 Paesi membri dell’ONU. Definite nel 1993 dal Dipartimento di Salute Mentale dell’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità, le life skills (o competenze psicosociali) sono le capacità di un individuo di affrontare le sfide della vita quotidiana e hanno un importante ruolo nella promozione della salute in termini fisici, mentali e di benessere sociale. Nel documento Life Skills Education for Children and Adolescents in Schools, l’OMS definisce le 10 skills di base e indica linee guida per l’attuazione di un percorso dinamico in cui i bambini siano attivamente coinvolti. Il nucleo fondamentale di life skills proposto dall’OMS, e applicabile in ambito scolastico, è composto da: 1 Decision making Capacità di prendere decisioni: competenza che aiuta ad affrontare in maniera costruttiva le decisioni nei vari momenti della vita. Capacità di elaborare attivamente il processo decisionale, valutando le differenti opzioni e le conseguenze delle scelte possibili. 2 Problem solving Capacità di risolvere i problemi: capacità che permette di affrontare e risolvere i problemi della vita in modo costruttivo.

3 Pensiero creativo Saper guardare oltre le esperienze dirette, per imparare a rispondere in maniera adattiva e flessibile alle situazioni di vita quotidiana. 4 Pensiero critico Capacità di analizzare le informazioni e le esperienze in modo obiettivo allo scopo di riconoscere e valutare i fattori che influenzano gli atteggiamenti e i comportamenti. 5 Comunicazione efficace Capacità di esprimersi, sia sul piano verbale che non verbale, con modalità appropriate rispetto alla cultura e alle situazioni. Saper manifestare opinioni e desideri, bisogni e paure, essere in grado di chiedere consiglio e aiuto. 6 Capacità di relazioni interpersonali Capacità di mettersi in relazione con gli altri in maniera positiva, riuscire a creare e mantenere relazioni amichevoli ma anche essere capaci di porre fine alle relazioni in modo costruttivo.

7 Autoconsapevolezza Conoscere se stessi, il proprio carattere, le proprie forze e debolezze, i propri desideri e le proprie insofferenze. È il prerequisito di base per la comunicazione efficace, per instaurare relazioni interpersonali, per sviluppare empatia nei confronti degli altri. 8 Empatia Capacità di immedesimarsi negli altri, saper accogliere e comprendere i loro pensieri e i loro sentimenti anche in situazioni non familiari e di diversità etnica o culturale. 9 Gestione delle emozioni Saper riconoscere le emozioni in noi stessi e negli altri; consapevolezza di quanto le emozioni influenzino il comportamento e capacità di rispondere alle medesime in maniera appropriata. 10 Gestione dello stress Saper riconoscere le fonti di stress nella vita quotidiana, imparare a controllare lo stress anche attraverso tecniche di rilassamento in modo che non insorgano problemi di salute fisica o mentale.
