在1600年前，中国分成了两个部 分，北方的国家是 魏朝 ，南方的国家是 宋朝 。宋朝 陕西省 中部的一个村子里有 一个 退伍 的老 军官 ，他叫花弧。他的 武

功 很好，也 立 过 战功 ，但是有一次打仗 他受了很严重的腿伤，伤好了以后身体 就不行了。退伍以后，他回到了家乡， 他和妻子有两个女儿和一个很小的儿 子：大女儿叫木莲、小女儿叫木兰，最 小的孩子是一个儿子叫木松。花弧想要 把他的武功都交给女儿，但是木莲不喜 欢练武功，她更喜欢跟母亲学习 织布 。

木兰跟姐姐不一样，她喜欢跟父亲学习 武功，她很有 天分 ，不仅身体很有力 气，而且聪明 勇敢 ，不管学什么都能很 快地学好。

练武。除了木兰和父亲，还有其他很多 孩子会在树林练武，因为当时天下并不 太平，不知道什么时候又会有战争。每 天早上天还没亮，村里的孩子们就开始 练武了，一共有四十多个孩子。木兰在

她的 同龄人 中练武练得最好，她从来不 怕苦也不怕累，孩子们都很 崇拜 木兰，

都觉得她练武的时候很 帅气 ，木兰成了 他们要学习的人。除了练武功，十岁那

年父亲还给木兰在村里学校 报名 上学， 这所学校是村里 唯一 的学校。 对于 木兰

上学，母亲很不高兴，她觉得木兰应该 在家里学习织布。为了上午能去上学， 木兰只能 答应 母亲每天下午在家学习织 布。

在这一年，木莲 嫁人 了。以前的

人都结婚很早，有很多女孩子不到十六 岁就嫁人了。那时候的结婚都是自己的 父母决定的，男孩子的父母请人给自己 的 说亲 ，如果父母觉得可以，孩子就可 以结婚了。父母不会问孩子们的意见， 所以结婚前男的和女的可能都不认识 对 方 ，不知道对方好看还是不好看，是好 人还是坏人。父母决定了，他们不可以 反对。

着 泪 说：“你的父亲现在这么老了，又 病了，腿也不行了，既没有办法长时间 走路也没办法骑马。你姐姐和你都是女 孩，你弟弟又才刚刚九岁，我该怎么办 啊？！”木兰心里也在 发愁 ， 保卫 自己 的国家，每个人都有 责任 ， 无奈 的是自 己是一个女孩，没有办法参军，想到这 里，叹息了起来。

木莲听到了木兰和母亲没有了声 音，走进了房间，看见母亲在哭，妹妹 也很 忧愁 的样子，就问木兰怎么了。木 兰把紧急文件给姐姐，木莲也没有了主 意。她们三个商量了很长时间，但是谁 都没有好的解决办法，只能拿着皇帝的 紧急文件一起去了花弧的房间。
