My name is Gustavo. I live in a very big city, Buenos Aires. I have been drawing all my life, ever since I was a child as I didn’t have a TV. I enjoy most of all drawing comic strips and picturing myself and my kids in the illustrations that I create.

ncle Jack was sitting in an armchair in his living room. In his hands was a letter from his daughter, Dr Silver. She was a biologist and she worked in the Amazon rainforest. Uncle Jack wasn’t happy.

2

The letter from Dr Silver said, Dear dad, some people from the city are cutting down the forest. Some Amazon Indians are helping them. It’s terrible! ‘I must go and help my daughter,’ said Uncle Jack. ‘Two heads are better than one!’

3

Uncle Jack put a bag with some sun cream, a sandwich and some mosquito repellent in the hot-air balloon. Suddenly he saw Jim, Daisy and May. ‘What are you doing?’ asked Uncle Jack. ‘We’re coming too!’ said Jim. ‘Four heads are better than two!’ ‘Woof Woof ’, said Grumpy the dog. ‘Sorry Grumpy’, said Jim, ‘five heads are better than two!’

4

The hot-air balloon went to the Amazon rainforest. It was very hot and very green! ‘It’s beautiful Uncle Jack. And what a lot of animals!’ said Jim. ‘There’s Dr Silver,’ said Daisy. ‘Hello! Hello Dr Silver! It’s us!’ shouted May.
