Hi guys, some of us know you quite well but for those who don’t, we’d love to get a little background information on you, so how and when did the band form? Nathan and Ryan have the same Mum and Dad, often referred to as brothers. Andy and Tom were at college with us, and we’ve been best friends ever since. We have always been into the same music, so it just made sense to start a band together. We were spread all over England doing different degrees, but we always came together to jam. Do you have a favourite, or most memorable gig? Probably ST Pauls in Worthing this year. We didn’t expect it to be anywhere near sold out. Colin and Julia who put on the show are absolute heroes. We were thinking it was going to be a 100 person rehearsal room, but playing in a church with lasers was pretty awesome. What are you most looking forward to about playing The Great Escape? We’re from Portsmouth but we love Brighton, the music scene is so alive, and the The Great Escape is always such a fun weekend.
The Great Escape is wonder ful for up and coming bands and artists, but what do you like about festivals? Do you have a favourite? If so why? There’s so much freedom, whether performing or just there to enjoy the music, you always meet some crazy likemined people. I think our favourite would be Southsea fest just because it’s our hometown the crowd are always great. We’ve noticed changes in the band logo/emblem, do you think it will change again, or is this the final one? As we havn’t released an album yet it could change again, but I expect we’ll have to make a decision at some point in the near future. Do you prefer vinyl or CD’s? Vinyl everytime, it’s annoying when they get crackly and they can be a little less transportable, but you can’t beat the tactility of an LP with beautiful artwork. There are definitely vintage aspects to your look - which we love, but how would you describe the bands style as a whole? Quirky I think we’re all different, but we like to be.
Do you think the bands individual fashion style corresponds to the music you make? Definitely, we have a few different styles, but predominantly we like to be a little more interesting than generic bands, we do what we do because we love it, not to please the masses. Do you have particular items of clothing that are favourites/lucky to wear when you per form? Or favourite gig jeans perhaps? I think we all have certain clothes
that are comfotable for per forming in that could be favourites, but no lucky pants at the moment. Definitely favourite gig jeans though. We tend to move around a lot, so it’s important our clothes allow us to do that. Views on double denim? Have you ever? Would you dare? Hmmm I think you need a lot of confidence to pull it off, I probably did when I was 15 but now, I’m not sure, maybe I will give it a go again.
