At SoPost, we welcome new starters with a comprehensive onboarding process, including company introductions, tools, policies and procedures.

Employees receive a customised induction tailored to their role and department and complete training modules within their first two weeks. Managers have access to templates for a 30-day and 100-day plan to ensure they set up every new joiner for success.

The People team also conducts a “SoSettled” conversation with each new starter after their first few weeks to ensure they receive the necessary support to perform their role effectively.

Managers have regular one-onone meetings with their direct reports and a four-monthly performance review. These reviews include setting objectives aligned with the company strategy and personal goals and incorporate 360 feedback from peers, direct reports and senior leaders.

We've launched a “careers portal” on our intranet, providing access to role profiles, career pathways and a personal development plan template.

SoPost's allocated training budget supports employee development and can be used for individual or centralised training needs, such as management or sales training. All employees have access to the internal “SoPloma” program, where subject matter experts deliver monthly training sessions on relevant business areas, projects, or external subjects.

The People team leads talent mapping and succession planning annually to identify key dependencies and future skills requirements. The team also tracks internal promotions, role changes, and development spend to ensure progression and development opportunities are accessible to all employees.
