Word from the Editor Hey, guys! I hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far :) Did you stay safe with those fireworks, I sure hope you did. June has been a slow and heart-moving month with the June DCM banquet and the last KLKC meeting of the year. Summer has barely just begun, but I know many will adventure out from home to seek more fun in the sun. Please remember to stay safe and never forget sunscreen. Summer is a wonderful time to bond with family and friends. Stay hydrated and remember I love all of you guys. Stay Toasty, key clubbers! I'll see you all again in September, or even better, at Seattle Rally!! I realize this month's newsletter is kind of lame. This is all because I procrastinated until two days before the deadline. I promise the next issue will be A LOT better.

June DCM Banquet To those who weren't able to go to the June DCM Banquet at Hazen High School on June 19th, here's a little rundown. The June DCM Banquet is when the past and current LTG work together to give awards to those who deserve it. Kentlake even got an award (We love you, Ashley)!! The retiring officers from the different clubs in the division are thanked by the retiring LTG - in this case, Ashley Villanueva - for their year of service. In addition, the newly appointed officers from the different clubs in the division are welcomed by the incoming LTG - Tera Chea - for their upcoming year of service for each of their clubs. The graduating seniors are recognized, and Ammara Touch from Kentridge gave us all a heartwarming speech about her Key Club story. A violin trio performed beautifully for everybody. The food was really good, too. There was an auction of two beautiful artworks which were 'sold' at $40 for both. What a bargain! As a 2017-2018 officer, it's my privilege to work alongside such wonderful people and an amazing LTG.

KL Clubbers in the Sun 'KL Clubbers in the Sun' is pretty much the same thing as #mortylovessummer. I know many of you will travel this summer; be it a few states over or even to your local park. If you would like to share a wonderful moment, add the hashtag #KLKCsummer to your Instagram posts to be featured in the next newsletter. I'm sure everyone would love to know what each other did over the summer, and this would be a great opportunity to. Even if it's just a quick selfie or a beautiful scene, add the hashtag. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful pictures key clubbers are taking.
