Word from the Editor Another month of service done, along with another newsletter for Kentlake Key Club. This month has been filled with busy events and fun times. From the giant joint DCM at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park to an all-nighter at Relay for Life at French Field. This school year is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean Key Club ends as well. Stay updated with Kentlake Key Club through our many social media for community service events and summer-get-togethers. And let’s not forget to introduce key club to your other friends, especially your younger freshman friends. Remember to stay safe and be careful during the summer. Stay Toasty!! ~Elizabeth Garrison

Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Kentlake Key Clubbers volunteered to sell boxes of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as a fundraiser for two weeks. Half of the proceeds went towards Relay for Life. In total, we raised $409.50 for Relay by selling 63 boxes of doughnuts, a dozen doughnuts in each box. The fundraiser started on May 17th and ended on May 30th. The doughnuts were $12 per box and were distributed on June 2nd, the day of Relay for Life. Thank you to those who took time out of your day and participated in the fundraiser.

Relay for Life Relay for Life events are life-changing cancer fundraising events that help communities across the globe fight back against cancer. Kentlake Key Club had the fun privilege of participating in Kent Relay for Life on June 2nd to 3rd from 6pm to 10am the next morning at French Field. There were many activities for those who were waiting for their turn to walk on the track. The DJ played music all night long, tunes ranging from Moana to Kpop. Thank you to those who stayed throughout the cold night and continued to walk. We couldn’t have done it without you.
