Greetings from New Lieutenant Governor (LTG) LTG Hello Kentlake! Now that D-CON has sadly ended, it is time for the new Key Club year to begin. My name is Tera Chea, your immediate Past President, and I will officially be serving as your 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor. As your Lieutenant Governor, it is essentially my job to serve as the bridge between you and the Pacific Northwest District. However, my goal is also to help you build your own bridges across, to the different schools. Throughout my term, my biggest mission is to have our division as a whole become closer with one another through DCM’s and service projects, but I can only do this with your help! Let’s make this a memorable year and I’m so excited to be embarking on this journey with you! Stay Toasted!

Greetings from New Club Officers President My name is RuthAnne Kepler and I am Kentlake Key Club’s new president. I hope to retain our current members while increasing membership and make everyone in our club more connected. I also hope to introduce new committees into our club such as fundraising and event planning committee, as well as finding a variety of interesting service events. @ruthanne.kepler @ruthieke

Greetings from New Club Officers Vice-President Hello, my name is Cameron McKeague and I’m currently Kentlake Key Club’s vice president. I’m hoping to be able to sustain the amount of members we have throughout the entire year. I’m a Slytherin and you can find me: @Cameron_mckeague_ @mickeykeg

Greetings from New Club Officers Secretary Hey Key Clubbers. My name is Ariella Descargar and I’m Kentlake’s Key Club current secretary! A few goals I hope to accomplish this service year with you guys is to increase club membership and participation in community service events. In my spare time, I like to boba runs with fiends and watch Riverside (mainly because of Cole Sprouse and all the drama in it). Hit me up: @arielledescargar if you ever wanna talk :) Stay toasty my dudes ✌

Greetings from New Club Officers Treasurer Hey, I’m Hailey. I’m a sophomore and I’m Kentlake’s new treasurer. This year I’m hoping to do more fundraising and get more people to join Key Club and for a larger percentage of members to pay their dues. I’m a pretty loud person so I think you’ll be able to tell who I am at events. @_hambam_ @bam_ham

P6

Greetings from New Club Officers Webmaster Hey, I’m Taryn and I’m Kentlake’s webmaster! Some of my goals this term are to become more close to the officer board at Kentlake and throughout our division, making sure I fulfill my duties as an officer, keep up on posting on my blog, and to go to all of the community service I can! Key Club and dogs are very prominent in my life, they’re two things I can’t imagine being without. I can be a little awkward sometimes but I do enjoy talking to people, so come and say hi if you see me at events! You can find me on: @taryn.nourse @tartness01 @nnyrat

Greetings from New Club Officers Bulletin Editor What’s up, guys! I’m Elizabeth and I’m your 2017-2018 Bulletin Editor for Kentlake. My goals for my term as to increase the percentage of members in our club, create a newsletter such as this one every one or two months, becoming close with fellow Kentlake officers and officers from other schools, and connecting with other Key Club members. I love listening to Country music, I speak two languages fluently, and I have a cat named Wolfie. He’s the cutest thing. Feel free to say hi to me if you see me anywhere! I don’t bite. @gummybeargirl567 @gummybeargirl56 @Rated_EG

D32 2017 DCON | Elements of Service

The 68th Annual PNW District Convention (DCON) was held in Portland, Oregon in this year, 2017. DCON in the Portland Convention Center was amazing, filled with cheers and tears. Spirit battles were held constantly by PNW divisions throughout the weekend. Opening session on Friday with over 2,000 Key Clubbers, excitement and energy filled the air. With Friday caucusing, members sat with their divisions as candidates for district office presented their speeches until almost midnight. On Saturday, workshops helped incoming officers become accustomed with their future year as new leaders for their clubs, along with other workshops to provide entertainment for other members. When Closing session finally arrives, all members are dressed in semi-formal, passing tissues to one another as they watch the previous District Board retire, along with the 41 LTGs. Governors Ball didn’t fail to surprise us either. Lights bounced off the walls, music filled our ears. The stage was filled with TALENTED dancers. DCON never fails to give us a wonderful weekend, along with PDS (Post DCON Syndrome) when Sunday morning comes. P9
