object iteration OBJECTIVE: To create multiple representations of an animal or object using various mediums and techniques in a way that promotes experimentation while staying true to the itegrity of the features of the object
Through this process, I learned that my object, a whitetail deer, can carry with it a lot of different meanings depending on how it is iterated. While some of my iterations showed the power of the animal, others communicated a sense of gracefulness or gentleness of the animal. The most challenging media for me was the collage iteration because I really wanted to capture the image of a deer, yet still give it a unique and eclectic feel. I found it to be difficult to do that and even once it was transferred into Photoshop, some of the details got lost. The most enjoyable media for me was the master artist iterations because with these there was more room to experiment with different mediums and Photoshop techniques and we were given more creative freedom to get in touch with the style of the artist.
