hi there!
Welcome to the first issue of Ella Magazine! I am so excited that this is finally a reality and that I can now share it with everyone. It is such a difficult time to be a business, which is why the most important aspect of this idea was for it to be as affordable as possible to help businesses reach their
step back and appreciate what we have, something we hardly do because our lives are so fast paced. Take advantage of this, focus on yourself and your future. The aim of this issue is to be light hearted and positive, reminding you that your favourite businesses, brands, MUA’s and content creators are in this with you and will be here after this is all over. I hope you love it as much as I have loved creating it!

From solo to
Drive Show
Well known for her humour and authenticity, Stacey Norman is the voice that kept you company from 12 - 3pm, weekdays on East Coast Radio. Now she has left her solo show behind to be the voice that drives you home on the Drive Show with co-host JSbu. Stacey is no stranger to radio, having started her radio journey at her previous company at the young age of 19. When her 94.7 show ended she was done with radio, ‘It was too much pressure to be an "it girl" and insta famous when all I really wanted was a drive show and to grow. I decided to throw the baby out with the bathwater because my ego was enormous and I favoured feeling sorry for myself. I sat on the couch for two months watching Big Bang Theory on repeat, trying to work out what my next move would be.’
The previous pressure I'd felt was gone - I was having fun.’ Skip to a year later where Zane offered her a day time show, ‘I didn't ask which show or how much money or anything practical, I just said yes, and here we are!’ And now achieving the BIGGEST milestone in her radio career ever, Stacey has made it to the Drive show with co-host JSbu! ‘I feel so proud and so at peace. Hard work, dedication, respect for the craft that's what gets you to where you want to be. And my appointment to

bargain?
Prenola Govender is the face behind popular social media page Durban on a Budget, created in 2016 out of pure frustration, necessity and her passion for great deals. ‘In 2013 I had completed my Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Media/Communications and had been job hunting ever since. When I attended interviews I was always told I lack experience for the position.' Blogging was suggested to help her deal depression which was caused by unemployment. She started off with a WordPress blog,
After the internship was over, Prenola realised that she still required experience in the marketing field. 'I started giving Durban on a Budget my full attention, offering affordable advertising for local businesses whilst also creating a small income for herself.' Her main focus is to be affordable for smaller businesses who just try to provide a meal for their families and don't have a huge budget for advertising, ’The feed-back I receive from clients has been extremely heart warming and is a huge motivation to keep going. ‘ Adverts start from as little as R50 with reviews currently being done at no cost, if the product or service fits her audience. To get in touch with Prenola, you can reach her via email and social media platforms.
