Elleonna’s Letter Comeback Edition It is a new vibe around the world. Nowadays no boundaries in spreading ideas and socialize. Even a startup can change someone’s life in a night. I know it sounds like impossible but that is the world happening right now. But that is the true, opportunities are everywhere. That impacts the industry of social media. It is continuing to grow, not exceptional for our Second Life world. Later, we also plan to continue with something different in our publication. About opportunity and second life world, it is nice to be back publishing Portfolio again from last time in the year of 2015. Last year I should go to another island in my country, an Island called Sumatera. I came to Lampung and Aceh region for real life work. But sadly they don’t have good internet to keep me going with Portfolio work. I almost gave up before I went home and got a new job. Now I am settle and continue the amazing work with my new team. Can’t believe I am here again, thx to my team Laura/Mrs.S and Han to be amazing person who working awesomely for Portfolio. This brand new edition contains a lot of awesome artists, pictures, and judges. Got fresh talented photographers from our flickr groups and these 3 amazing woman to be our judges for February issue. Thx to Manis Lane, Lessthen Zero, and Maya George, they are people favorite because of their signature in every picture in their pictures. Then, for our group of photographers, we are gladly showcasing pictures from Adra Braeden, Cub Smith, Eva Weimes, Gac Akina, Gryphone Vendetta, Lam Erin, M8ty Resident, Nico, Neda Andel, Rosemary Lorefield, and our photographer of the month Ryo. They really have fun poses and several basic poses for photo. I really love the poses because it is not too hard to modify and I can use 1 pose for several ideas. Now, I used 1 pose name blowing kisses to make headshot with cute blue bird. I will name this bird a new hope. Specially named to be a reminder for a step in my real life and second life that gives chances and opportunities that can be my new life. ADRA BRADEN I’m Adra Braeden, mostly known as Adra and a role player. I’ve always had a weak spot for fantasy and stories to build up characters and a world around them and now I try to continue in doing so with Photoshop. I’ve started using Photoshop more than a year ago, began to play and experiment with pictures on my own what has been a big challenge for me. It asked patience, time and lots of playtime to be where I am today. I myself still have much to learn. I can see pictures of others, admire them and find inspiration but I always hope to offer other people the same thing. I’ve grown in the use of Photoshop and often still watch the first pictures I’ve made. Every single picture still there on Flickr , the very first one until now because I love to compare and see, show people that I was once a newbie in Photoshop as well but that it evolves in time. I find my inspiration in work of others, in tales, in movies and off course in my role play. Special thanks to my good friend Lost who has supported me and inspired me with Photoshop from the very start. Wouldn't have been where I am today as an artist without my chum. AN INTERVIEW WITH RYO Where are you from ? From Japan. Konnichiwa! :) Are you working in art industry in real life ? No. How is your experience when you logged into Second Life ? My "first" experience is started February 2007. I had played Second Life almost every day. After about 3 years, I stopped playing Second Life, once. Few years later, I wanted to back to Second Life, but I had forgot the password! I made a new avatar in 2014... That is me, Ryo. What is your first job or hobby in Second Life ? How is it ? I enjoying blogging, taking pictures, and creating How do you start your photography hobby? Are you an amateur photographer in real life ? Yes, I am an amateur photographer. I just like photography, love it as one of the hobby. And I am simply taking pictures to leave memories of my life. In Second Life too, that was the motivation for starting photography. Only at the Second Life, I had took pictures to make memos for my favorite items. Do you using photoshop in your pictures ? Tell us how you learn it My all works are created by Photoshop Elements 14. I learn its techniques/tips from my friends and internet website/video tutorial. How do you capture you pictures ? Just push snapshot button on Firestorm viewer! :) Of course, I setting-up windlight every time. I feel that it is very fun of making light and shadow that suit my images. I have some favorite windlight settings. They are not special one... e.g. include the default settings on Firestorm, windlight settings for published on internet, and so on. What is your inspiration when you took a picture ? At the blogger works, I think the first impression about the items are important. Others are mainly SL/RL photographer's works. In the future, I want to use Music Videos, Films Commercials, Mangas...etc., as reference more.

How you describe your pictures ? I am aiming for my pictures become feminine, sexy and elegant. And even more, if I can, I want to express not only beautiful, some emotions on it. But my pictures are uncertain. Because I think my photography style have not founded yet. Do you have favorite pictures ? Tell us about it I have some favorite photographers in second life. They can clip an impressive scene or emotion from their daily life. Their pictures are natural, beautiful, and extremely touching heartstrings. I feel that they have each stories. I am so respect them and really love their pictures. Do you work with media or brand in Second Life before ? Already, I am working as a blogger for some brands. How do you feel that the way people seeing art in Second Life ? The way I know are Flickr and (in-world) Gallery. I know some people share pictures to Facebook, too. The best way I think is the Flickr. Because there are many good point than other ways. For example, I can easy to collect my favorite pictures by "Fav". And it can also to take a little communication with talented photographers via comment or Flickr mail. Are you creating items in Second Life ? Tell us about it I am creating poses. I have a tiny shop at in-world and the Marketplace. Pose creation is very important factor for my photography. Because it helps to express the emotions and images that I want to take in the photograph. The only thing I can tell is that the definition of "nice picture" differs from person to person. Gryphon Vendetta I've always had a thing for art. For as long as I can remember I've been sketching worlds, imagining ideas and finding new ways to express myself. Up until January this year I'd been focusing all my energy on writing, but a severe case of depression and anxiety caused me to suffer a break down earlier in the year. Unable to concentrate for long hours while I recovered, I was directed towards Second Life photography by a friend. Once a rela tive noob, now each day I learn something new, from pose building to windlights, shadow use andprojection to Photoshop tools I want every pic to tell a tale or convey meaning. I'm at times guilty of creating very dark images, but if I can't turn my depression into something oddly beautiful, what good is it to me!
