‘It’s the matter of taste’

I studied sl photography at Pixel Icon by Ashia Denimore. After I graduated I become a blogger to several designers.

In this issue, I want to give reader my ‘point of view’. How I feel and love. Because all about ‘taste’.

Photographer for April Cover..

CITTA WISKEE 1. Where are you originaly come from ? I’m from Jakarta, Indonesia 2.Is your work in art field in real life ? How is it ? Yeah I was an artist and maybe still am. Because I still love to paint even though I hate Indonesian art world lol. Now I earn money from SL because I have a store, live peacefully at home while making music. :p 3.How you first log in to second life ? I first joined SL to stalk my RL college friend who skipped classes so much. Then well, SL was addictive. 4.What experience did you have in sl ? We heard that you were a model ? Yeah I attended to modeling classes because it was my friend’s modeling academy and she offered me free classes. I even ever walked on runway with my laggy computer. I graduated with certificate and I throwed it away to garbage because it’s not my thing. Lol. It was fun though, the styling challenges were fun and I got many compliments and it made me feel happy.

5. How do you get into sl photography ? Well I firstly enjoyed something in SL was about its photography. I took snapshots alot and found it amusing. Mostly I was using photoshop just for applying PS actions, nothing advanced editing. But then I got inspired by my friend Polisi Artis who was one of the best SL photographers who did magic with his skill turning avatars into the next level of virtual characters with his professional skill. Then I practiced harder and harder to use the tools in Photoshop, until now. Sadly Polisi Artis left SL but I still keep in touch with him. 6. Do you attach sl photography with graphic design skill ? As we know you are a graphic designer in real life, how is it for you ? I am not a graphic designer. I don’t know how to use those graphic programs thingy, I don’t know how to use Adobe Illustrator, I don’t know how to make a logo. That’s what graphic designers do. I just love to paint, basically I am a painter. I paint SL snapshots. I paint alot the avatars in it. Especially experimenting with expression. To make avatars look like more alive. 7.What company you worked with ? Tell me your experience at this company. I was working at InWorld Inc as Creative Director and InWorld Magazine’ layouter and journalist. It was a cooperative team, I enjoyed it so much. Well the company didnt last long. Then Me, Kamelia Snowfield, Mayo Bigbear,

and Tante Crazyboi made our own magazine named SUEDE Magazine. It was more focused to not-high-fashion thingy but more to the youth of SL. We had great great responses and feedbacks. The magazine just lasted 4 issues because the members got busy with RL. Then I got invited to Avenue Magazine. That was one of the best magazine in SL that time. When I was in InWorld, Avenue Magazine was our inspiration. I was very happy and wondering why they invited me in. That’s the first time I met Xandrah Sciavo who invited me in. I was happy working in there and Rusch complimented me alot about my work. Sadly Avenue closed its door in the end of 2013 because Rusch was being busy with her RL. Then Anna Sapphire made her new magazine project and invited Avenue team to join her team. It was called TREMPE Magazine. You can feel the vibe of Avenue there. But it was more focused about fashion, and lookbook. But Anna left SL and the magazine only lasted a year. 8.What company you work with now ? What are great experience when you work here. Now I’m just a cheerleader in Ferosh. Lol. It’s a non profit Magazine made by Absinthe who worked in Avenue too. So basically Ferosh doesnt pay us to do the spreads because it’s more like a medium for our hobby, in styling and do photography. So I dont know if it can be called as “work”.Absi doesnt invite random models with spaghetti legs (please mind that I’m a sarcastic) but people who do one of a kind of photography who pimping their avatars creatively. Ferosh only pays some of us only who do

“Advertising” pages for featured designers that pay ferosh. Like what I did with my designer spreads for ~ghee~ last year. I also contribute for THEMA but again that’s not “working”. It’s more like a hobby. I did open commission for photography but my store makes me busy, so I no longer open for clients. 9.We saw your brand, attic, how do you feel with it and what are your expectation ? ATTIC is like my playground. I do experiments and ATTIC as my “exhibition”. Sometimes I design fun stuff and sometimes I design wicked weird stuff. I don’t do casual/ normal stuff because it’s everywhere, so I make surreal creation and wearable or useful. 10. What is your hope for the future ? What are your dreams ? My dream in sl is to make a solo exhibition here, that’s my goal not only photography but installation. then I could leave SL peacefully lol. 11.Do you have anything to say to our readers especially bloggers ? Be humble, be nice, follow people’s rules. You’re not that great.

Some people/friends describe me often as hyper sensitive, and far from being necessarily a weakness, it has me allowed to open me to diverse ways(means) of expression. A color, an atmosphere, one moment, a humor, a movement if I vibrate, I photograph, always by trying to return this quite so vibrating emotion on the photo. Sometimes it is made a success, other times not, but I always have the same excitement, since the shooting up to the final alteration(retouch).I retouch(alter) essentially on Gimp, sometimes on Photoshop. I have a clear(net) preference for the landscapes, but I enough like shooting atypical characters. Recently, I’m trying some photo morphing works.
