Page 1

This visual showcases thirteen of the vacant properties located on Broughton Street. However, only three buildings will be presented to show an example of each category: data + fact, data + story, and data + story + pro forma.

The data + fact category displays buildings with select data sets, which are included throughout every category, and an interesting fact that was found about the building or a building that was previously on the site.

The building presented for the data + fact category is the current site of Levy Jewelers located on the north-east corner of Bull Street and Broughton Street.

This visual showcases shows the idea that by sliding the bar located at the bottom of the image, the image will slowly morph to overlap both current day and historic images.

DATA + STORY

The data + story category displays buildings with select data sets, which are included throughout every category, and an interesting story that was found about the building or a building that was previously on the site.

The building presented for the data + story category is the site of the Berrien House located on the north-west corner of Habersham Street and Broughton Street.

DATA + STORY + PROFORMA

The data + story + pro forma category displays buildings with select data sets, which are included throughout every category, an interesting story that was found about the building or a building that was previously on the site, as well as a mock pro forma to show the economic potential that a vacant historic building holds.

The building presented for the data + story + pro forma category is the previous site of the Chatham Furnture Building located near the intersection of Barnard Street on Broughton Street.

By clicking on the Pro Forma button on the bottom of the screen, this visual would pop up to display the mock pro forma. Since this lot is currently vacant, we proposed that the building would be reconstructed to the same height and square footage of the building previously on the site. Since the building is new construction, it would not apply for historic tax credits. Also note the download button located at the bottom of the screen.
