Giuseppe Penone

This picture shows deconstrucEon with the man carving lines and shapes into the block of wood. It shows that he is trying to build a younger tree out of the heart of the old tree.

Mel Brimfield

The picture shows death or by murder and this shows deconstrucEon through death The picture is set on a white foreground enhancing the feeling of death that is represented in the women being in dark clothing.

Lisa Lapinski

This picture shows structure because of all the different levels and lines created by using household items such as draw, windows and tables. The lines created by the draws create levels and distance with in the sculpture.

EvaluaEon of marbling When doing my marbling I used a different range of colour, such as green, red and yellow. These colours make me feel in a good mood and brings a feeling of light and brightness. I associate these colours with summer Eme on a nice sunny day. There are many unique shapes on my picture, it creates an effect of madness and confusion because it’s a free flowing abstract piece of work. It has smooth and bright effect and texture The mixture of colours and tones work well together, and it reminds me of a underwater world. CreaEng a sense of movement in the piece. Because this has been a successful piece I will be creaEng several pieces and some on bigger scales.

Crop

By simply using the crop tool I have created four very different photographs with different lines and shapes.

Photoshop

By using photoshop I have added different coloures and filters to my photographs to five them this abstract look.

Monoprint Tracey Emin

The colours that are used are very basic and plain, the foreground is very plain and white witch makes the etching stand out. Very strong lines which add length to the piece The image is centered in the middle of the page Very fluffy and faint lines and textures dark coloures against light background highlighEng the image It makes me feel happy and gives me a sense Of childhood and a relaxed atmosphere .

Janet ayliffe Dark colours almost black and white different pressure applied to make darker colours. Strong defined lines different lengths of lines and different toned lines Dark strong lines create depth in the pictures defining different perspecEves. Dark lines add a effect of a rough and hard texture but the image sEll has an element of happiness and fun although it has a lot of dark areas. A range of dark and light highlights and tones. Shading is used to add depth to the image.

ChrisEne McCarthy

Loads of bright vibrant colours with a mixture of dark colours creaEng a summery effect. Strong, dark lines showing strength and controle by the arEst The different lines and shapes in the image create space and show distance in the image Hard and tacEle lines and texture giving the image a standout effect A mixture of light and dark colures highlighted by the white background

Deconstruct/reconstruct Photographs Anthony Zinonos & John Stezaker

Deconstruct/reconstruct Photographs john stezaker

The arEst has used found photographs to create this art work. Several photographs have be deconstructed by being cut and reconstructed and joined with other photographs. I like this piece of art work because its simple, but by joining a few pictures together has added life to a picture. I think this picture shows that a lot can be learnt about someone through there eyes and that you show great emoEon in your eyes. I’m going to combine several found photographs in a similar way as Stezaker, using photographs that are simple and changing them Into something with new meaning and. Photographs that I plan to use are specifically of people and family scenes.

Love XI, 2006. Image

Firstly I like this piece of art work because It shows the two different sides of marriage in one photo. This image has been made by combining two different photographs together to create one face out of two. In many of stezakers work he uses faces to show different emoEons and meanings. The photos that he uses are found in magazines and are found images. I like this artwork because it is simple but shows a lot through the way the to separate images have been joined. I am going to refer to john stezakers work when creaEng my own work

Marriage (Film Portrait Collage) XXVII 2007

PracEcal work in the style of stezaker

I enjoyed very much doing my own deconstruct/reconstruct task, I found that it was very invenEve and I learnt a lot from doing it. Through out doing this piece I cut and stuck found photographs onto a piece of black card in the style of john stezaker. At first glance people found them humorous but the meaning of the photograph is shown through brothers and sisters being put together to show family and togetherness, and creaEng the relaEonship between to brothers.

Anthony zinonos These pieces of my art work link to the arEst anthony zinonos. Zinonos uses photographs and triangles to create his art work. He also uses bright colours against a white background to make them stand out and become eye catching. He uses triangles as the main collaging shape and has varied from hand pen drawn triangles and photographs

Nicolas Kennedy SiCon

Nicolas kennedy siCon

Nicolas siCon is a photographer, he aslo uses computer soeware to edit and enhance his work. In these pictures he has used bold and bright colours to create happiness. He has used photoshop to put things in places were they wouldn’t normally be creaEng the sense of adventure and imaginaEon.

Nicolas Kennedy siCon

Work in the style of Nicolas Kennedy siCon My own idea of Kennedy siCons work

In this experiment I have used Photoshop to distraught my image to give it a similar effect to what Nicolas Kennedy SiCon has used adding distance and shape to my photo.

Abandoned/Discarded In this next set of photographs My intenEon when taking these pictures was to catch the effect of something being abandoned, lee and discarded.

Abandoned/discarded

In these pictures by exploring the idea of abandoned and discarded I have added different filters and colour to the images to give them a old thrown away look. When taking theses photographs I chose to place them outside to add to the theme of abandoned and discarded.

ABANDONED

Conflict

A serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one: "the eternal conflict between the sexes". clash -‐ collision -‐ fight -‐ strife -‐ baCle -‐ struggle verb. clash -‐ collide -‐ disagree

CONFLICT

Banksy

I have chosen this image because of the personal connecEon that people can make with the image. The bright colours stand out in contrast with the white background and the dark colours. This arEst has used emoEve imagery to connect with people. By using big bold black shapes he creates an eye catching piece.

I thing this is a good image because of the subject maCer of the solider which everyone can relate to. The light and dark colours go well together drawing people aCenEon to the piece.

5 point plan 1.Re-‐photograph war images 2. CreaEng stencils from strong details in the images 3.Collage images 4.Create backgrounds using spray cans and paint 5. Screenprint the stencils onto the painted backgrounds

experiment

First, I created background to screen print onto by using tea and coffee and dripping it onto plain paper giving it this abandoned old effect. I chose to use coffee because of the colours and tones it creates. The different browns create a vintage texture which adds age to the piece.

EvaluaEon I chose to explore conflict as a theme in my 2d project. When looking at the theme of conflict I came up with ideas that relate to the theme such as conflict between people fighEng for sport and war. I also got the idea of abuse and loneliness. Aeer researching the work of banksy, a street graffiE arEst I got the idea to use stencils. Also banksy uses every day events such as war and conflict to connect with the public. I also got the idea to use dark bold colours against a bright background. There is also conflict with his artwork because people someEmes say it isn't art and should’t be aloud. Throughout this 2d project I have experimented with various techniques such as, printmaking, drawing, photography, digital image manipulaEon and collage. I feel that for me printmaking was the most successful technique that I used. a lot of styles come under printmaking like, etching, lino prinEng and screen prinEng. Theses styles all link to my final project. I think that my final outcome turned out good. I would describe it as colourfull, bold and emoEve. I feel that the colours and tone were the most successful part of my final out come because by using tea and coffee I created many different natural tones and textures in the foreground. In my work I have used mostly browns and blacks. I have used these colours because the link to my theme and make you feel sad and make you think of dull, nasty places and gives the outcome a old dirty effect. I associate dirt and damp with these colours. My piece has many textures and shapes, there are no specific shapes because of the way I created the background by leAng watered coffee drip down paper which as created bold odd shapes and textures. This has given the piece a natural effect as if it wasn’t purposely made. It has created a emoEve and harsh effect. If I had more Eme to develop my work I would add more detail and colors to my backgrounds to add more effect and create more emoEon.
