Preface Dear reader, What you have in front of you is more than a directory of 667 Belgian food and drinks companies. It is indeed an overview of companies that stand for the values behind our promotional brand ‘Food.be – Small country. Great food.’ Across the 27 sectors of the Belgian food industry, each of these companies strive for quality, diversity and innovation. Those are the values that drive the 93.000 talents working within our industry. Needless to say, we at Fevia are indeed very proud to represent the tastiest industry in Belgium. As the voice of the leading industrial sector in Belgium, our mission is help Belgian food and drink companies to grow in a sustainable way. All over the world, consumers are looking for added value products. And they are increasingly finding them in the high-quality, innovative food and drinks “made in Belgium”. But while we conquer the world, we shouldn’t neglect our domestic market! At Fevia, we firmly believe that we can strengthen the Belgian market through collaboration and with a focus on our core values. We call upon all Belgians to show off our collective pride on our great Belgian food and drinks, with our promotional brand ‘food.be’. Of course, the world is facing serious challenges and the food industry has to step up to contribute to solutions. To name just a few, we are proactively taking initiatives to help consumers to live healthier, balanced lifestyles and we are making packaging more sustainable and increasingly circular. Supported by the unique innovation clusters Flanders’ FOOD and Wagralim even the smallest Belgian food producers take the lead in innovation. In our fourth sustainability report, scheduled to be launched in December 2020, we will launch our revamped ‘sustainable growth’ strategy and action plans. Innovation is the key to respond to the shifting needs of consumers and other stakeholders. But while our sustainable growth strategy continues to adapt to a world in rapid change, Belgian food and drinks producers remain as focused as ever on bringing you a wide variety of tasty, high quality products. The Belgian food and drinks companies that you’ll discover in this Food.be Directory are the living proof that our country, though small and located at the crossroads of European food cultures, is the home of great food!

Three strikes and out.

Three strikes and out.
