SUMMER LEARNING ADVENTURES INFORMATION CONT.

After School Care:

The West Suburban YMCA will be offering a 5-day Summer School Wrap Around Camp for K-8 grade at Swanson Elementary School from 12:15-6:00 pm. To participate in the YMCA program, the student must be enrolled in a third period class. To register or for more information about this camp visit online at www.gwcymca.org. If your child is attending summer school at Brookfield East High School and will use the YMCA Wrap Around Camp, you MUST sign up for busing and pay for the bussing fees. Please contact elmbrookwrapcamp@gwcymca.org with questions or for more information.

Students With Individual Educational Plans (IEPs):

If you feel your child with a disability may need access to the accommodation provided to them during the school year in their IEP to participate in a summer school course, please contact your child’s case manager to set up an IEP meeting. *Please note that having an IEP does not bypass the lottery process for summer school.

Bus Locations for Morning Pick-Up & Afternoon Drop-Off: Buses will pick-up and drop-off students at each of the following buildings in the District: Burleigh, Dixon, Tonawanda, Pilgrim Park, Wisconsin Hills, Brookfield East and Fairview South.

• Pick up and drop off times are TBD

• Notification will be sent to parents closer to the start of summer school

Parent Drop-Off:

• Please do not park and leave your vehicle unattended in the drop-off area. This area is utilized for a quick curbside drop-off and pick-up only.

• All waiting vehicles will be asked to pull forward as other vehicles leave to relieve congestion.

• We ask parents who wish to escort their children in and out of school to please park in designated locations.
