Rio Hondo held a Veterans Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, November eighth to honor those who

have served in the military. The audience consisted of the students, staff, veterans, alumni veterans, and family of the alumni veterans at Rio Hondo. The opening of this
ceremony was with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Drill Sergeant Color Guard and the sound of the National Anthem playing in the background. First to speak was superintendent President
Teresa Dreyfuss. As superintendent president of Rio Hondo College, I would like to thank all of our alumni veterans for your service and the family members and loved ones of our alumni

Alternatives which is a foster family reunifications charity. Trish Garcia, an adjunct librarian at Rio Hondo, is also the committee chairperson for the group, which operates in Whittier. When
she noticed the flyer for the opening of the food Bank, she appealed and got approved a donation. It’s a part of a Scouting for Food program which they do every year during the holidays. Garcia
