American Cable is currently seeking experienced old school machine shop operator. Operate all areas of the machine shop to ensure production of machined parts are manufactured on schedule within quality standards and cost objectives.

Middle School Spanish Teacher Our school seeks a professional, experienced and passionate educator to teach Spanish to Middle School grades 6th, 7th and 8th. The qualified candidate will have teaching experience at the middle school level, background, interest, and passion for teaching Spanish, and a bachelor’s degree in a related educational field. Successful candidates will have sound pedagogical skills, highly developed writing and organizational skills, experience teaching Spanish, a growth mindset, positive resolve, follow through, and the desire to build positive and meaningful relationships with students in a manner consistent with our child-centered, integrated, and developmentally appropriate curriculum. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to build on a well-established and successful Spanish program that also includes an annual cultural exchange program with a school in Costa Rica. Position also entails homeroom and advisory responsibilities at the middle school level. Candidates should have experience working in a diverse setting and demonstrate a commitment to co-creating a racially just and inclusive learning community. Responsibilities: • Ensure that all quality and safety procedures are enforced. • Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. • Identify materials and tools necessary for job completion and submit requests to • Prepare and operate machine shop old school to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Qualifications and skills: • Experience in machining processes (required) • Experience managing production operation (required) • Ability to read blueprints, proficiency in dimensioning and tolerance • Knowledge of CNC programming, set up. (preferred) • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Positive leadership skills • Highly organized • Proficiency reading complex engineering drawings (required) ► Job Type: Full-time ► Salary: Discussed during interview.
