Introduction “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning This portfolio is about all the things that we learn along the unit, also the investigations we did it and some interesting facts about me like my teaching philosophy. I think that make this type of activities is a better way to learn and is more interactive, and as future teachers we have to innovate all the time the classes, improving new things, showing to the students different topics, the use of different material, and the most important the love and passion you show when you teach because if you love what you do, you are going to be a model to all the little persons that in the future can change Guatemala.
Teaching Philosophy
If I start analyzing, why teaching is important to me?, I will said that is because I can change little generations, using all my abilities and contribute to make better persons in the future society; also with all my knowledge help my students to achieve all of his goals and motivate them to never give up despite the adversity. I think people learn by experiences, because is more significant, and if they have a bad experience, they take like a lesson and fight to achieve all the goals that have for the future. Also for kids I think is better learn by experiences and by manipulating material to get a significant learning. For me a good teaching is innovate all the time the classes, improving new things, showing to the students different topics, the use of different material, and the most important the love and passion you show when you teach because if you love what you do, you are going to be a model to all the little persons that in the future can change Guatemala. Have a very good relationship with the students, always is going to depend of the attitude I give them, the confidence and respect I show them and of course the love I am going to give day by day. Sometimes the relationship with the colleagues can be hard, because some of the people have a negative attitude or maybe there are very competitive with the things we do in our class.
My students can describe my teaching like a innovate class, creative and with too much love, as a future teacher is really significant when a little kid said: -Teacher we love your class, please don’t leave us! This kind of words motivate me day by day to give the best with the students, because they deserve the best of a teacher, because we are role models and if we act in a bad way all the things can be imitating. “The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book”, this is the Metaphor with which I identifies myself. Why? Because I think a good teacher always is going to take care and love each of the students, and despite the bad things that would happen I have to see the best of the people and motivate them to achieve all the goals, and show them that a book doesn’t replace the love and care of a people. Like I said it before the best feeling of teaching is listen to the little kids said Teacher we love your class, please don’t leave us!, also when they said that they learn in a creative way and with something really small but very significant is when kids smile and they said to me thank you teacher for being here, I love you!
