he project will be located at the Quaide-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur covering an area of 4,500 acres. It is expected to generate 1.271 billion kilowatthours (kwh) of electricity annually, greatly easing power shortages in Punjab and neighbouring areas. It will also promote local economic development and improve people's livelihood. At least, 3,300 jobs will be created. The solar power station, when completed, will save 394,000 tons of standard coal and reduce 826,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year. It will become a “solar oasis” in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) program and inject new energy into the deepening friendship between the two countries. Zonergy President Yu said the project had great economic and political significance as it had been listed among the Early Harvest Projects in the CPEC roadmap. “The construction of this largest solar power project raises high level of requirement of capital, technology and management for Zonergy. With management advantages and international project development experiences, Zonergy is confident to build this project to be an exemplary one among CPEC projects and a new highlight in the ChinaPakistan friendship.” He stressed that the efficiency of government departments in Pakistan had improved and praised the political leadership for extending full cooperation in executing the project. Responding to a question, Yu said ZTE was not the only investor in Zonergy, but it was the main shareholder. The company's business was to establish solar power plants and undertake their maintenance, he added. Regarding the task of linking solar power with the national grid, he said Chinese and Pakistani engineers would do this job collectively as connecting the solar and traditional electrical systems required highly technical experts. Solar power production is not the only business of the company but certainly it is a major pillar. Chinese banks had voiced concern over the high cost of maintenance of the solar power plant, but in the end they agreed to invest, he said. EMAL 10

REVIEW ON SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 APPRAISAL The supreme accompaniment to the GS6

THE BEST PHONE YOU CAN BUY?

Y

ou might imagine a rocky, outdoorsy version of a battleship smartphone to require compromises everywhere else. But Samsung's Galaxy S6 Active gives you almost everything from the standard Galaxy S6, along with amazing battery life and some protection that Bear Grylls would approve of. When you look at the Galaxy S6 Active in pictures, it might look bigger and uglier than it really is. Sure, it loses the sexy glass and aluminum casing from the regular GS6, but its plastic build isn't ridiculously bulky – and it's also pleasantly light. The design is rugged, but not tacky or tank-like. There's a subtle camouflage pattern on the back, which may sound like the most stereotypical design choice Samsung could have made, but we think it manages to stay tasteful and appropriate. The phone also has ridges at various points around its edges that let you get a firm, solid grip If you routinely buy thin and sexy phones, only to hide them inside tank-like cases to protect your investment, then you can eliminate the middle-man – and actually shed some bulk – by going with the Galaxy S6 Active. It's better protected than a GS6 inside something like an Otter box, but cheaper and more compact. Most of the phone is the same as the outstanding Galaxy S6. The Active is 9 percent heavier and 27 percent thicker, but you still get the same stunning 5.1-inch Quad HD display, outstanding (and quicklaunching) camera, wireless charging (as well as fast charging when using a cable) and lightning-fast performance. You do lose the Galaxy S6's fingerprint sensor, along with its capacitive buttons, as the Active swaps those for three (nonbiometric) physical navigation buttons. While we miss the fingerprint sensor, at least the Active's buttons have a satisfying, "chunky" click to them. You also lose Gear VR compatibility, in case you were hoping to use your phone with Samsung's Oculus-powered virtual reality headset. Samsung never said the Active was compatible with the Gear VR, but we tried squeezing it in anyway just to make sure, and it doesn't physically fit into the section that plugs into the headset's micro USB port (and, even if you were willing to mangle your Gear to squeeze it in there, there's no guarantee the phone would download the necessary software). What you get in return is IP68 water and dust resistance, meaning it can soak indefinitely in 3 m (9.8 ft) of water. You could take this bad boy into most swimming pools and, as long as you don't drop it into the deep end and leave it there, it should keep on ticking without a hitch. Perhaps even more importantly, the GS6 Active has insane battery life. In our battery benchmark, where we stream video (over Wi-Fi) with brightness at 75 percent, its battery only dropped 5 percent per hour.

That's twice as good as the standard Galaxy S6, which already has good uptimes. If you wish smartphone-makers would worry less about thin and sexy, and focus more on long battery life, then you can stop complaining. The Galaxy S6 Active is the phone you've been asking for. The S6 Active also adds an Activity Zone app (with its own dedicated button on the left side of the phone) that houses shortcuts for weather, barometer, compass, flashlight, stopwatch and more. If you're buying the phone for treks into the wilderness, having all that info in one easy-to-access place could be a big selling point. Assuming you're looking for this kind of handset, the only potential negative we can see is that the GS6 Active is only available on one carrier in the US: AT&T. If you're subscribed to Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint (or a smaller carrier), then you'll need to either go through the potential hassle of switching or miss out on the Active's rugged, water-proof, longlasting fun. The Galaxy S6 Active is one of the best phones you can buy, offering reasonable trade-offs over the standard GS6 (which, itself, is our pick for the best smartphone you can buy today). It's available now on AT&T for US$200 on-contract, $695 full retail, or an installment plan that adds up to that. 11 EMAL

lectric bikes may help you climb hills, fight headwinds and arrive at work in a non-sweaty state, but they still won't keep you dry when it rains. That's one of the reasons that some people mostly deep-pocketed people are looking at human/electric hybrid velo-mobiles. One of the latest such vehicles to hit the road is Virginia-based inventor Peter Ginz burg's Ginz Velo. The Ginz Velo takes the form of a recumbent tricycle surrounded by a sleek fiberglass/foam core body shell, which is the basic design used by most velo-mobiles. The shell aids in aerodynamics, shields the rider from the elements, and may also offer a degree of crash protection. It additionally makes the thing look pretty darn cool. Because they tend to be a lot heavier than bicycles, many velomobiles feature an electric-assist motor. In the case of the 85-lb (39-kg) Ginz Velo, a 48-volt 20-Ah lithium-polymer batterypowered 500-watt brushless hub motor is used to augment the rider's own pedaling power, or to work purely in throttle mode. If used as a throttle, it can reportedly take the Ginz Velo to a regulated top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h) for a range of 75 to 100 miles (120 to 161 km) that range is increased if the rider is willing to do some pedaling. According to Ginz burg, because the vehicle is so aerodynamic and otherwise efficient, an "average rider" can push it to over 30 mph (48 km/h) using pedal power alone. Some of its other features include full front and rear LED lighting with turn signals and brake lights, side mirrors, a hinged canopy for entry and exit, and a ventilation system that incorporates the wheel openings and a vent in the back. If you're liking the looks of the Ginz Velo, you can make your appreciation known by backing it on Kick starter. A pledge of US$6,000 will get you one, when and if they reach production

nternet is not a new thing for today's generation. It is a very paramount part for business, education, communication and journalism as well. Internet administers information on a spacious level and gave the convenience to individuals to share and add more knowledge on a particular topic. In previous times, journalist keeps pen, diary and takes a lot of time to gather or compiling a news story. But today's journalists are fast and prior due to internet and Android based mobile phones facility. Even any citizen can break a news story through tweets, blogging. Many people are doing job of citizen journalist; they just need a camera to capture moments and internet to unveil it to the world. Recently two poor girls named Muqaddas and Saania sang a song of Hollywood top singer Justin bieber. And a boy shot this and uploads it on social media. Soon they got acclaimed and this news came on television later and internet wins in this race of breaking news. After getting fame on online medium they were seen in morning shows. If journalists want to make a report on someone's work and life. They don't need to go to libraries and find from books. Just click on the internet browsers and bulk of information is available. Now new terminologies and techniques of producing content for print and electronic media is not only mandatory but how to make content for internet is also cardinal for journalists. Many bloggers are working day and night to produce news stories, articles, columns and features. Every media channel has discrete web departments to deal the online traffic. Newspapers also publish e-paper for online readers; it shows the importance of internet today. Magazines were published in printed form only but now online magazines trend is getting recognition because it need low costs and less labor. In spite of all these benefits that are provided by the internet world. Many people break immoral videos and pictures of someone's private life to defame and blackmail them. Intruding in anyone's life is not the allegiance of a journalist. His duty is to reveal important happenings, wrong doings and covering unusual things. Another important thing in this aspect is that many unprofessional, inexperienced people publish content that is pirated and with full of plagiarism. Journalist covenant is to serve the humanity not to hoodwink the nation. Famous journalist uses the internet as a communication channel in the form of pages and accounts. They remain in touch with their followers constantly. Internet is appraised an important tool for journalism. If it is used properly it will be helpful for the upcoming journalists to make their careers through online mediums.

WHITE GALLERY LONDON As the UK's only designer bridal show, White Gallery at Battersea Evolution set the style for 2016 with collections that put femininity first , in a celebration of soft, fluid silhouettes and the finest of fabrics White Gallery has long been an exhibition dedicated to world-class talent and the accomplished designers who lead the way and set the trends. This year, more than 70 key names who form the elite of the industry, offered a stunning array of new looks that had one thing in common – a sense of softness, movement and flow. Exquisite fabrics, from feather-light silk chiffons to laces that fall in gentle gathers, were the focal point of every collection, as was a new approach to colour – ivories with the barest hint of ash, blush that has moved from pink to the palest of coffee, highlights of brilliant red, turquoise, and a rainbow of pastels in embroideries and flower motifs. Ian Stuart's catwalk played to a full house and a hugely appreciative audience. Known for his design bravado, this time round he soften outlines, added layer upon layer of intricate but subtle detail, and included beautiful greys, creams and pinks. His finale number, a shimmering gown in an amazing water-colour print, aptly named Monet, was teamed with a black veil splattered with coloured petals –a masterly touch that confirmed him as a leader of the Brit pack. And the Brits were there in force – with collections that showed supreme confidence. Alan Hannah, Sassi Holford, Stephanie Allin, Caroline Castigliano and Amanda Wakeley among the names that put our home-grown designers on a stage of their own, attracting admiration and applause from retailers who only stock the best. Savin of London showed billowing lighter-than-air panels that flowed loosely behind and Eliza Jane Howell presented a stunning floor-length chiffon coat, edged in deep bands of charcoal sequins. Visitors to the show were clearly impressed, with order writing starting within an hour of the lavish White Gallery doors opening, as buyers poured in keen to be the first to see the newest ranges... and the first to make their selection. Press representatives covering the world's top fashion and bridal media, turned up in full force, too, with cameras rolling to capture the atmosphere and bag those valuable interviews with the designers. Trends? White Gallery, because of its exclusivity, serves as the most authoritative platform for style innovation, with brilliantly executed collections that have been skillfully edited and pared down so that every piece – be it a gown or an accessory – tells a story of perfection; the themes that emerge set the standards for the year ahead.

S IDDIQUE The major trends this season are definitely lilacs, Pastels colours, Stained lips, minimal makeup and light brows. A huge mistake is wearing too much makeup. Summer is all about looking natural. It's harder to get away with lots of makeup in the heat so going lighter is better. EMAL 18

A chit chat with Celebrity Navira A London based stylist and make up artist known by her versatility for eastern & western bridal, events, fashion and editorial teamed up with Nick Redman. A man of many talents in creative art. Her natural ability to make clients not only look beautiful, but feel beautiful has made her a favorite among a versatile group of Show biz and others. While talking to EMAL Navira express her thoughts. 1. When did you realize that a career in beauty was for you? I am graduate in Human Resources Management, worked In HR for many years but I always had a keen interest in Makeup which lead to gain Professional qualification in Fashion and Photographic Makeup. I have been trained Chanel worked with their brand for few years. I love to play with colours. I found this profession suitable for myself since it allows a lot of creativity and complements my inborn knack for fashion and glamour.

2. The shoot EID special gives a looks of a perfect women, who are the other team members behind this perfection? My team members; Photographer: Nick Redman, Retouching: www.studioimpres.com, Models: Anjali Pitrola, Safiya Darr, Filippa Holmstrom, Hair Stylist: Christina Tescu.

3. What are the biggest challenges makeup artists have to face? The biggest challenge I think is that makeup artists are required to remain up to date with new trends and fashion. The fashion industry evolves on daily basis and the expertise has to be upgraded accordingly.

1. What you do in your free time? To be honest I don't get any free time, being a mother keeps me busy all day long, when I do have some spare time then I like to meet up with my friends, going out for nice meal or movies.

5. To capture the looks in a click is the most challenging part, who do the photography for you the most? I have worked with many different photographers in my career but I would say I felt at ease straightaway with Nick Redman. He is highly skilled and the results of the images are fascinating.

6. Do you apply makeup for special occasion like, wedding, party etc.? Which one you like to do the most? Yes, I am a special events makeup artist by profession. I have covered wedding makeup, party makeup, makeover makeup, fashion shoots, and editorial shoots. I would say I really enjoy doing makeup for brides it gives me real happiness when they love their look and appreciate my work.

7. Any tips on how girls can achieve a look that is both "cool" and parent-friendly? For any girl to achieve cool and parents friendly look they have to start with the basics, first and most important is to have flawless skin which helps to create any perfect look. Have a good skin care regime, cleanse, tone and moisturize, and please girls I cannot emphasise how important it is to wear sunscreen protection. Having the clear skin can be blessing which mean you only require minimum makeup tinted moisturise, blusher, concealer, mascara, lip gloss.

8. What four makeup item should no woman leave home without? I would suggest these four items are essential for any woman's handbag that is face powder, concealer, mascara, lip gloss.

9. Who you consider is the most supportive person in your life and profession? My Parents have been the biggest inspiration in my life. They have supported me in making the decision going into Makeup career.

10. If a customer asks for a makeup that you are sure would not suit them, how do you convince the customer to go otherwise?

In case they are asking for an unsuitable style or makeup, I convince them why it will not suit them by sharing my analysis of their face cut, skin type and sometimes I would show them makeup on the half face and on the other half what I think would suit them better in that way they can see better. 11. Some quick and easy tips for young girls? I would recommend young girls to skip an elaborate makeup routine to save time. Instead, just apply tinted moisturizer to even out skin tone, two coats of mascara, and use a neutral matte lipstick to highlight your cheekbones and lips or nude lip gloss.

12. What are the latest spring looks this year people must do? The major trends this season are definitely lilacs, Pastels colours, Stained lips, minimal makeup and light brows. A huge mistake is wearing too much makeup. Summer is all about looking natural. It's harder to get away with lots of makeup in the heat so going lighter is better.

When a customer comes for makeup first of all I analyze their skin.

LARRY FOGG

TRIP TO UAE I wanted to return to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to visit Abu Dhabi and to hopefully visit with friends. Since Renuka, who is the daughter of Panchal, my driver in Nepal during 2012, and her husband were both working in Abu Dhabi, I wanted to try to visit with them. In addition, I wanted to try to visit with Mohammed Waqas from EMAL Magazine if he happened to be at Dubai while I was there.

hotels in Abu Dhabi and that I was at the Crowne Plaza located at Abu Dhabi city center. He said the price would be 250 Dirhams to go to the Abu Dhabi city center hotel. Although this was an amount considerably higher than the cost to ride the bus, I opted for the convenience of the comfortable air conditioned luxury taxi. I agreed to the 250 Dirham amount and we began the journey to Abu Dhabi. When we were approaching the Yas Island exit, he asked to see my hotel reservation. Since it was in my carry-on luggage in the trunk of the car, we pulled off of the main highway so that I could retrieve a copy of my reservation. He reviewed my reservation and then programmed the address into his GPS navigation device. He then said that my hotel was very much farther than he had originally believed it to be.

I arrived at Dubai, UAE, on Wednesday, at about 4:45 PM. After clearing immigration, I located the nearest ATM to obtain some UAE Dirhams. When I arrived at the taxi stand, I was directed to the line of unmarked black luxury taxis. This was the same routine that was in place a year ago when I visited Dubai. After checking into my hotel, I rested up from the two very long flights from Los When we arrived at my hotel, he parked in a Angeles to Dubai. nearby parking space instead of stopping in The following morning, I asked the front of the hotel. He then proceeded to tell receptionist at the hotel front desk for me that although he knew about the Yas information on how to take the bus from Island Crowne Plaza Hotel, he was not Dubai to Abu Dhabi. indeed. After eating a superb buffet lunch at the Garden restaurant, I spent the remainder of the day catching up on emails and reviewing Abu Dhabi tourist attractions on the Internet. I made contact with Mohammed Waqas from EMAL Magazine, and we made plans to try to meet up after I returned to Dubai. I also contacted Renuka who said that she was working evenings. I made plans to meet her the following day for lunch at my hotel. She was also able to schedule her day off from work for Saturday, 13 September. I met Renuka for lunch on Friday, and we had a very nice lunch at my hotel. During lunch we decided that she and her husband, Babudin, would join me on a full day tour to Al Ain the following day. After lunch, I booked the Al Ain tour and Renuka left to go to work. Since Friday was the day of morning prayers and many of the tourist sightseeing attraction were closed, I spend the remainder of the day exploring the neighborhood near my hotel. After dinner, I took a local taxi to visit with Renuka at Café Bateel where she worked. I ordered cappuccino, a wonderful pastry that Renuka selected for me, and some fresh dates. The café was very nice and Renuka introduced me to her friend Pratima who was also from Nepal. When I requested my bill, Renuka informed me that she was paying my bill since I was her guest. It was very nice – thank you again Renuka. After leaving Café Bateel, I walked to the main road and caught a local taxi back to my hotel. On Saturday morning, Renuka and

Babudin met me in the hotel lobby at 8:30 and our tour driver picked us up at 8:45 for our tour to Al Ain. Al Ain, also known as the Garden City of the Gulf due to its greenery and tree-lined streets provided by many oases. It is the second largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the fourth largest city in the UAE. It is located on the inland border with AlBuraimi, Oman, and is the birthplace of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan, the first president of the UAE. Al-Buraimi and Al Ail shared an open border until 2006 when the border was closed and passport controls were imposed. Although the tour was listed as requiring a minimum of four people, we were the only three people in the nearly new SUV with our driver who was from Jaipur, India. It was as if we had booked our own private tour to Al Ain. As we were departing Abu Dhabi, we drove past the very beautiful Abu Dhabi Grand Mosque and the two circular tower “green buildings.” The outside of the “green buildings” is covered by adjustable solar panels that close when exposed to direct sunlight and open when in the shade. We visited the Al Wathba Camel Race Track en route to Al Ain. The race track is situated about 45 km east of Abu Dhabi. The facility consists of two separate race tracks, a practice track and the official competition race track. We first visited the practice track and then continued on to the competition track where I photographed the “Starting Gate” for the official races. Human jockeys have been replaced with robot jockeys for the races in response to criticism of using young boys to be camel racing jockeys. We continued on to Al Ain where we stopped at the picnic grounds at the base of Jabel Hafeet (Hafeet Mountain) where fresh water from the mountain is channeled through the picnic area. This is a very popular place for people to enjoy family outings and for visitors on holiday. A large complex adjacent to the entrance to the picnic area is owned by the Royal Family. Jabel Hafeet is considered to be one of monuments of Al Ain and it rises to 1,340 meters in elevation. We continued driving the winding road to the summit viewpoint of Jabel Hafeet. There is a dirt pathway from the viewpoint that was once used to continue over the crest into Oman, but is now closed to the public. Of course, the views from the summit are spectacular. In addition, there is a large complex near the summit that is also owned by the Royal Family. We drove back down the mountain road and went to the very large Al Ain Livestock Market which our driver

referred to as the “Camel Market.” It was very interesting with vendors for camel food and supplies as well as many individual pens with camels and goats for sale. Our driver explained that there were camels for sale from several countries including Saudi Arabia. We drove through the market and then continued on to the Hilton Hotel for a very nice buffet lunch.

HOW TO GET RID OF FRIZZY HAIR

H

ave you got the frizzy type of hair that makes you look like you've just been electrocuted? Do you have an uncontrollable, unmanageable mass of dry, frizzy hair that

gives you a bad hair day every day of the week? Then read on, as we give you our top tips on how to get rid of frizzy hair using only natural ingredients:

Vinegar It might not smell that good, but vinegar is a great and natural way to treat frizzy hair. Just add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a cup of water and massage into your hair and scalp; it will condition the hair, add shine as well. Rinse thoroughly after 5-10 minutes! Do it once or twice a week and see wonderful results.

Avocado

Another one from the kitchen: mash one ripe avocado and mix it with two tablespoons of coconut oil to make a smooth paste (use your blender) and apply to your hair for 20-30 minutes, then shampoo and condition. Use once or twice a week and it will naturally condition your hair, nourish, help to prevent dryness, fight frizz and split ends.

Banana Bananas can do wonderful job conditioning and nourishing your hair, relieving dryness and fighting frizz. Here is how to get rid of frizzy hair with this natural banana, place one ripe banana, two tablespoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of honey in your blender and push the button. Apply this mix on your locks for 20-30 minutes, then shampoo and condition. Say 'goodbye' to dry and frizzy hair!

Eggs If you are looking for solutions on how to get rid of frizzy hair, don't look further than your kitchen. To nourish and bring the shine back to your hair, whip one egg into some tepid water and apply it to your hair, massage gently. Wash out with warm water and not hot though, or you'll end up with an egg on your head! No need to shampoo. Condition as usual.

Protect your hair Another simple tip on how to get rid of frizzy hair is to keep your locks protected by covering your head when you go out in extreme weather conditions. Both sunlight and very cold weather will make your hair frizzy.

Don't Shampoo too Often Everyone likes to have a clean head of hair, but shampooing every day can dry out all the natural moisture from your hair, leaving it dry and frizzy. Try shampooing every two or three days and experiment with some milder shampoos to see if this makes a difference.

Don't Blow Dry for too Long Blow drying your hair for too long will dry out the natural oils in your hair and cause the strands of hair to actually shrink, so keep drying time to a minimum. Also, try using a cool setting on your hairdryer, it will be less damaging for your locks and it will help get rid of frizzy hair too.

Brush your Hair the Right Way The drier your hair, the easier it breaks, the quicker it gets frizzy, so too much brushing (especially harsh and violent brushing) won't make the frizz go away, it will only make it worse. Avoid brushing your hair when it's wet, as your hair is more fragile when it's damp. Also, if you want to know how to get rid of frizzy hair, don't use harsh movements when towel-drying your locks to avoid breakage.

Deep Conditioning Treatments Since we, girls, adore using various heating gadgets and we love doing it often, our hair gets damaged, hence the frizz. To revitalize dehydrated dry hair make weekly deep conditioning treatments or use leave-in conditioners.

Use Silicon-Based Hair Products Not only silicon based hair products will help get rid of frizzy hair, but also these products will add wonderful shine to otherwise dry and dull looking locks. EMAL 33
