PAKISTAN WORLD THE LARGEST FLAG
P
akistan today regained the Guinness World Record of making the largest human flag with participation of 29,040 people at the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore. 29,040 students gathered in the rainy weather at the stadium on the call of their school administration. On becoming world record holders they expressed joy, danced and shouted slogans. Pakistan had in 2012 created the record of largest human flag with the participation of more than 24,200 people in the Punjab Youth Festival. Bangladesh later broke it with the
participation of 27,117 students and army men. Head of PYF Steering Committee Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said. "The Punjab government has established an endowment fund of Rs. 2 billion for talented youngsters to follow their dream. If you want to be a cricketer or a badminton player, the PML-N government is there to support you," he added. Guinness Adjudicator Leo and Maria Anataalia after counting through the line and rows of the formation declared the first Guinness World Record of largest human flag for Pakistan.

PAKISTAN'S RESOLUTION DAY 23rd MARCH 1940
I
t was 23rd March 1940 when the Pakistan Resolution was passed that is also known as Lahore Resolution. This day holds a special importance in the heart of every Pakistani owing to the fact that on this
day the concept of a separate Islamic Republic of Pakistan was presented at the location where Minar-ePakistan stands today and it was until 14th August 1947 when this dream took a practical form. This resolution
was proposed by Maulvi Fazal ul Haq. While at one side we celebrate this day it is also thinkable that are we celebrating that Pakistan which was founded by Mr. Muhammed Ali Jinnah? Isn't today's Pakistan
6
different from the one that was left for us by those who made great sacrifices for it? This day is not just meant for observing a holiday and watching songs and shows played on Television. It is indeed not just a matter of yet another holiday to stay at home and enjoy. Rather this day is meant to remind all the Pakistanis that this country is the outcome of loads of sacrifices and efforts and if we don't do anything to improve the current situation Pakistan is going
through, it will show that we aren't aware of the true essence of Pakistan's Resolution Day. This year 23rd March has come at such a time that is very crucial to the future of our country. Pakistan is a country of over 170 million people determined to safeguard their freedom, integrity and sovereignty, who shall never give in to the forces of evil. Pakistan is bound to triumph over its predicaments. No one should have any doubt or miss perception on this count.

HUMAN POWERED SUBMARINE “There are a multitude of challenges we face in the design, manufacture and testing of the submarine on top of organisational aspects such as sponsorship,” Said Cameron Blackwell Engineering students at the University of Warwick are building a human-powered submarine that will compete in a panEuropean competition. The team, which includes students of various engineering disciplines, uses advanced manufacturing methods, such as advanced prototyping and 3D printing, to optimise the design. “There are a multitude
of challenges we face in the design, manufacture and testing of the submarine on top of organisational aspects such as sponsorship,” said Cameron Blackwell, one of the team members. “We hope our entry emerges victorious in all categories but in order to do any of this we need help and are searching for a potential business to sponsor us. Of course, the biggest
8
challenge is to produce a submarine that has both speed and agility,” he said. In July this year, the team's creation will be tested during the fourday European International Submarine Race at Gospor t's Ocean Basin, the biggest covered water space in Europe. During the fourday marathon, the team will fight against its competitors from across the whole world in various disciplines including a U-turn and slalom competition to assess speed, design and performance. The competition will also include a 25-metre race where the Warwick team is aiming to beat the speed record of 8.09mph; currently held by a team from Montreal. “This group project gets students from the various engineering
disciplines working together much as they would need to in real industries and businesses after graduation,” said the team's supervisor Ian Tuersley. “These design and build, competitions provide an additional incentive to produce a functional, finished product within set constraints and to an e n fo rc e d d e a d l i n e . Warwick has a proven history of doing well in similar competitions, and we hope this team will do the same.” Engineering students James Fairbairn, Cameron Blackwell, Shane Wickramasuriya, Ben Cadge, Richard Kemp, Edward Morris and Lingesh Coneti are all members of the team.

INVASION OF SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES by: Farheen Jabeen Social media usage has increased tremendously from past few years. It contains apps and websites that provide an opportunity to connect socially with people living in same country or in different parts of the world. Social media is as powerful as any other medium, individuals promote their business through fan pages, stay connected with their family members abroad, anchors and artists know point of view of their audience to improve content and able to know viewers likes and dislikes just on a single click. But apart from all these benefits it is also used in a wrong way. Among viber, flicker, badoo, zoosk, linked inn, twitter and many others face book is considered as the most popular site used by members of all ages. Users
make i.ds with made up names and those who give real information and upload photos give way to corrupt minded people. By using fake names boys pretend to be girls and after having access to all personal data they use it for blackmailing. Pakistan has more than 10 billion users of face book and half log in daily, whether they are students, housewives or old aged persons. But I realized that mostly youngsters waste their time on visiting immoral content, flirting, updating relationship statuses, and upload edited profile pictures to peer in the heart of others. Parents usually don't take any notice about what kind of material their children are watching and in which activities they are involved. From multinational company
10
owners to university going students everyone has their own reason for using these networking sites , some use it for promoting their business, some use it to make new friends, and other use it as a time pass. People lie to each other not only about personal information but also give status updates like 'enjoying a lot at some five star restaurant' where they never ever visited. Excess usage creates depression, lack of sleep, inattentive attitude, poor academic performance, anxiety and isolation among masses. Spending too much time in front of this technology can lead to a person feeling isolate because of less connectivity with human friends. Social media and constant access to it through cell phones, laptops and tablets develop a sense of insecurity
by comparing yourself with everyone else. Unethical behaviors like rude comments and disrespectful attitude towards others lead to rivalry. I personally suggest privacy settings must be in check constantly to avoid any bad consequences and be cautious before answering to any unknown friend requests. Parents keep an eye on their siblings and system must be kept at a place that is visible from every side. I think awareness regarding positive and negative impacts of social apps should be given through special lectures in institutions. Electronic and print media can also play special role for this act. Religious and cultural values should be kept in mind and parents must take in to account the browsing data and tell them the essence of social networking. Shakespeare said 'nothing is either good or bad but thinking makes it so'. We have to behave as sensible and civilized youth as some evil minds consistently try to divert us from the right path. Their wrong thinking could result in several damages in someone's life. Being part of it is a healthy phenomenon if used in a proper way. I think we have to strive a little harder to overcome this situation by following the ethical values and limits.

Combining eastern crafting techniques along western silhouettes in his signature style and applying the intricate details to garments creates an elegant and contemporary women wear. Delicate embroidery, layers of sheer fabrics, asymmetrical hemlines, dramatic necklines and innocent looks symbolizes the fun, celebration and beauty. The prĂŞt line includes both knee and full length dresses and jumpsuits constructed using a range of fabrics from silk jersey, crepes to sheer nets blended with Lycra, highlighting waist along draped bodice and tapered leg. Inspired by the colours of romance: lots of deep reds, black, and ivory white. The majority of the collection is based on evening-wear, but some of the pieces would be fit for work and perhaps a low-key Sunday brunch. arrived at Sydney early in the morning and took the train from the airport into the city to my hotel. To my surprise, the hotel had a room available when I arrived at about 9:00 a.m. After a short rest, I went for a walk, bought a bratwurst sandwich for lunch, and explored the neighbourhood near my hotel. I gathered up some tourist brochures, set about planning my weekend activities, and was surprised to learn that Monday would be an Australian National Holiday.
wombats roam freely in the open air semi-arid grassland habitat. Visitors can walk through the upper level of the tropical rainforest habitat where they are surrounded by thousands of colourful butterflies. In addition to having marvellous nocturnal habitat exhibits with possums and quails, it also has a Cassowary bird, and a large variety of insects like the Giant Australian Cockroach.
After leaving Wildlife World, I walked across the Pymont Bridge to My first stop on Sunday visit the Australian was at Sydney Wildlife National Maritime World located at Darling Museum. I was amazed Harbour adjacent to the at the size of the Sydney Aquarium. including the Commonwealth Lightship 4, CLS 4 Carpentaria, which is one of four unmanned light ships built at Coclatoo Island Dockyard, Sydney. The museum also has a magnificent replica of Captain James Cook's famous discovery ship, HMS Endeavour. Since it was undergoing some refit repairs and the top masts were removed and down on the main deck. This ship is referred to as the best exhibit at the museum. In addition to the fleet of ships, the museum also has the Cape Bowling Green Lighthouse, which was built 70 km south of Townsville in 1874. It had been dismantled, moved to the museum, and reconstructed. The lighthouse was open to the public and the rotating light mechanism operated similar to a grandfather clock with a weighted chain serving to provide the momentum to drive the gears and rotate the lens assembly. A second Tasman Light lens assembly was on

The collection at the maritime museum was The building that houses so extensive that I made a return visit to the the museum is quite large and is filled with a museum on Monday. I was also interested in the Moon Jellies and the iridescent squids – both of which I observed late at night in the Southern Ocean while on watch during my 2007 voyage aboard the Europe. I believe that the water in the large tanks with the Dugongs and the large fishes was not nearly as clean as it had been on my prior visit. My last stop was at The Rocks Discovery Museum. The Rocks is

the oldest part of the city of Sydney; it is next to the Circular Quay and at the base of the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I took the train to Circular Quay where the street performers had taken advantage of a beautiful sunny Monday afternoon to perform for bystanders. The discovery museum has exhibits depicting cultural and historical aspects of the area and the development of Sydney. One exhibit that fascinated me was an animated map of the world which depicted the exploration,

conquests, and changes in the possessions of different countries in conjunction with major historical events up to the present time. The map display would change with each major historical event along with a brief description of the event such as the fall of Napoleon, European wars, and so forth. As I departed Sydney on Tuesday afternoon on my flight back to Los Angeles, I reflected on a marvellous three day weekend trip – sunny days, friendly people, and good museums and attractions to visit.

elebs are known for their indulgent red-carpet primping routines—but do kitty litter and beer qualify as beauty products? Here are the some eccentric ebrity beauty secrets.
MIRANDA KERR USES LIP BALM AS A SHIMMERY HIGHLIGHTER AROUND HER EYES Try it! "This will work, just stick to a natural product. A lipgloss will clog your pores and will also be pretty sticky," says New York based makeup artist Stefanie Syat. Dab some plain lip balm on the inner corners of your eyes.
51

N
Skip it. The clumpy texture of the litter may remind you of a mud mask, but the clay particles are far larger than what you'd find in a substance formulated for skin. "These particles can cause micro scratches, which can lead to inflammation and blotchiness. Not only that, but the moisture-sucking properties of the kitty litter—courtesy of the mineral silica—will have the same effect on your skin, leading to dehydration. As if that weren't enough to deter you, keep in mind that the "fresh scent" designed to mask any odors isn't exactly an aphrodisiac. TRY THIS INSTEAD: Plain baking soda, either mixed with water or your favourite cleanser, will help clean out pores without any of the irritation.
52
DENISE RICHARDS PUTS AVOCADO ON HER HAIR FOR DEEP CONDITIONING RESULTS Try it! "To make it even more effective, combine the avocado with one tablespoon of olive oil." Slather onto your strands, but avoid the scalp itself—that'll make your hair look overly oily.
SNOOKI SWEARS BY KITTY LITTER TO EXFOLIATE

Lady Gaga Uses Tape to Remove Eye Makeup Try it—with caution. "Glitter can be especially hard to remove, so tape does the trick," says a New York City based makeup artist "Fabric tape will be the most gentle on your skin." But if your skin is super sensitive or prone to redness, avoid this option and stick with makeup remover.
54
Lisa Rinna Uses Cinnamon Oil for a Plumped-up Pout Try it—with caution. "Adding a few drops of cinnamon oil to a lip gloss will give some added oomph," says, a New York City based makeup artist. But the trick won't make your lips puff up to Angeline Jolie proportions, and makeup artists warn to spot check the oil against a patch of skin first to make sure you don't have any adverse effect.

RECIPE METHOD Wash and drain the chicken well. Using a fork, prick the chicken pieces all over. Now marinate chicken pieces with flour, corn flour, ginger paste, garlic paste, soya sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, chili powder, ground cinnamon, paprika, Chinese salt and black pepper powder. Cover with cling film and put the bowl in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Next, mix half a cup of flour with half tsp. salt and half tsp. chili powder. Put this in a plastic bag. Now, 2 pieces at a time, put the chicken in the flour bag and shake to make sure each piece is well coated with the flour. This helps give the chicken a perfect rough and crispy surface. Heat oil on high, add the chicken pieces without crowding the pan. You can do them in 2-3 batches. Lower the heat and deep-fry each batch for about 15 minutes, making sure to turn the chicken pieces once or twice in the oil in order to get them golden on all sides.

s well as fleshing out the back story of Persian king Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), it'll also deal with the enormous naval battle between that leader's people and the Greek forces, lead by Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton). Also getting in on the action is Eva Green's Artemisia, a fearsome Greek queen with a reputation in battle. Based on Frank Miller's latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style
of the blockbuster 300, this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield-on the sea-as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. "300: Rise of an Empire" pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy
70
300 RISE OF EMPIRE 300 Rise Of An Empire is the sequel to Zack Snyder's Spartan epic, and it's set before, during and after the events of that stylishly gory film
The Battle of Artemisium was a naval engagement, concurrent with the battle of Thermopylae, and was fought between an alliance of Greek city-states and the Persian Empire in September 480 BC, in the straits between the mainland and the northern tip of the island of Euboea (modern Evvia). The film will probably also focus, in part, on the Battle of Salamis, in which Artemisia played a major role, as well as possibly the Battle of Marathon. Salamis (home of the mythical hero Ajax) fought once the Persian Empire had advanced into southern Greece and occupied Athens. The film will also cover some of the backstory of Xerxes, and will explain how he became "the god King"

NEED FOR SPEED Tobey is set on revenge with plans to take down Dino in the high-stakes De Leon race
T
he story chronicles a nearimpossible cross-country race against time one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption. In a last attempt to save his struggling garage, blue-collar mechanic Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul)—who with his team skill fully builds and races muscle cars on the side—reluctantly partners with wealthy, arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). Just as a major sale to car broker Julia Bonet (Imogen Poots) looks like it will save the business, a disastrous, unsanctioned race results in Dino framing Tobey for manslaughter.
Two years later and fresh out of prison,Tobey is set on revenge with plans to take down Dino in the high-stakes De Leon race—the Super Bowl of underground racing. To get there in time,Tobey must run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet, dodging cops coast-tocoast and dealing with fallout from a dangerous bounty Dino put on his car. With his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia as allies, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic supercars, the underdog can still finish first.
