WI-FI
THAT FINDS YOU "Chronos" – is capable of 20 times the accuracy of existing localization methods
T
here's a lot of buzz around "smart home" products and the convenience of advanced automation and mobile connectivity. However, new research may soon be able to add extra emphasis on "smart" by enhancing wireless technology with greater awareness. A team at MIT's Computer Science and Ar tificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) has developed a system that enables a single wireless access point to accurately locate users down to a tenth of a meter, without any added sensors. Wireless networks are good at quickly identifying devices that come within range. Once you link several access points together, it becomes possible to zero in on someone's position by triangulation. But this new wireless technology – dubbed "Chronos" – is capable of 20 times the accuracy of existing localization methods. Through experiments led by Professor Dina Katabi, Chronos has been shown to correctly distinguish individuals inside a store from those
outside up to 97 percent of the time, which would make it easier for free Wi-Fi in coffee shops to be a customer-only affair, for example. Chronos is able to achieve such accuracy by resolving the actual distance from a user to an access point – data's "time-of-flight" is multiplied by the speed of light. When computed with the angle, positions can be determined to the centimeter. By designing Chronos to quickly hop across different frequency channels, take measurements, and then "stitch" together the results, the team has enhanced commercial WiFi with a high-level accuracy normally limited to expensive ultra-wideband radio. The system had to be programmed to account for additional delays in the process. A Wi-Fi encoding method helps to distinguish packets of data from actual time-of-flight, and acknowledgements from data packets are used to cancel out "phase offsets" generated by all the band-hopping. The researchers also developed an algorithm to address bouncing signals and the separate delays experienced by each copy. With Wi-Fi that can pinpoint other wireless devices, we can envision a future where drones maintain a safe distance from people or other drones, misplaced wireless devices may be recovered more efficiently, homes could identify individuals within and adapt heating and/or lighting accordingly, and wireless access can be extended exclusively to select rooms or living areas.

COMPARING THE
5 IPADS
Size
YOU CAN BUY TODAY iPads aren't flying off the shelves like they used to, and Apple's response has been to reach and rebrand, hoping a new definition of "iPad" will bring the tablet back to the relevance of its glory days. Apple has already changed naming conventions several times (once retroactively) along with a new "Pro" series that's trying to reframe the iPad as a Microsoft Surface rival. Confused? Or just wondering which one to buy? Let's compare your iPad options.
Weight
Size We have two standard-sized iPads (the first iPads, starting back in 2010, had the same screen size as the iPad Pro 9.7 and Air 2), along with two mini iPads and one giganto-tablet. For most people we recommend one of the 9.7-inch models, but the two minis could be good if you own a smaller smartphone (if you have a phablet, we don't think mini-tablets have enough extra real estate to be worth it). The super-sized 12.9-inch iPad Pro can make for an ultra-immersive device for anyone willing to deal with its pricey compromises (more on that in a minute).
Camera megapixels
Weight The old iPad mini 2 is the only one that doesn't feel very light for its size.
Camera megapixels For some reason, Apple put the same rear camera from the iPhone 6s in the iPad Pro 9.7. Normally we wouldn't complain about better cameras in any device, but a) how many people use a tablet for remotely serious photography? and b) the iPad Pro 9.7 got an inexplicable US$100 price hike over all of Apple's previous 9.7-inch iPads. If the camera had anything to do with that, we'd much rather see a weaker shooter along with the old $499 starting price.
RAM
RAM The larger iPad Pro doubles the RAM of its three closest siblings. The dated iPad mini 2 will have slower multitasking performance, with its mere 1 GB of RAM.
True Tone display The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is also the first Apple product to use sensors to match its display's white balance to your ambient environment. The idea is to make the screen look a little more natural, closer to how light would reflect off of paper. We don't find it to be a must-have feature (more of a neat bonus than anything), but it is nice to have if you're already buying the Pro 9.7 for other reasons.

2016 G T
OGGLES RENDS
ACCORDING TO YOUR FACE SHAPE
A necessary accessory for any woman while the sun beats down on her during the summer seasons especially. The greatest trends can be found all over the runways, taking over the ensembles in some cases. The sunglasses not only looks cool but also add a touch of glam to your outfit. When it comes to choosing a goggles it is a difficult task but if you know about your face shape you can easily select a pair of sunnies. The most commonly stated line for the summer seasons is that the glasses will be going big or just heading on home. And who better to look towards for inspiration than our favorite stunner shade wearing, paparazzi blocking celebrities. As we know, your face shape determines what style compliments you most, and Rihanna, Olivia Wilde, Selena Gomez, and Kylie Jenner know their stuff. Match your mug to one of these celebrities than shop our picks for most flattering frames, courtesy of these sunglass-loving stars.
ROUND Offset your round features with geometric shaped sunglasses. Rectangular frames will help elongate your face, while cat eyes sharpen your soft features. Let Selena Gomez in a pair of cat eyes be your guide. Styles that work: Rectangular, sharp cat eyes
13 EMAL MaGazine
www.emalmag.com
OVAL Lucky you! Oval-shaped faces have the most wiggle room when choosing their eyewear. Like Rihanna, you basically get to wear whatever you want. Go with round shapes if you're an Almost Famous-Penny Lane type of gal or edgier shapes if you're more Good Girl Gone Bad. Styles that work: Circular, rectangular, oversized, round
SQUARE Opposite of gals with round faces, you should offset your sharper features with curvier frames. Olivia Wilde is a great example of a woman who knows her face shape, wearing modern cat eyes with rounded edges that curve downward. Styles that work: Aviators, butterfly, cat eye
HEART If you have a broad brow and narrow chin similar to Kylie Jenner, try a style with bottomheavy frames. Shapes that are parallel and extend past the width of your face complement your strong jawline. Aviators are also another great option as the silhouette contrasts your heart-shaped face. Styles that work: Exaggerated bottoms, rectangular, aviators

EST OF THE EST FOR MEN
If you just thought sunglasses were for the summer months think again. The right pair of shades is now a year-round necessity, especially with the low spring sun. Here, GQ helps you separate the style flotsam from the jetsam, the eyesores from the head-turners. Look sharp and stay focused with these pairs of stylish sunglasses.
RAY-BAN
There isn't much that can be said about this stone cold classic pair of shades (introduced in 1952) that a picture of Tom Cruise from Risky Business - or any other actor or rock n' roll star at any other point in history - can't say. Everyone who is anyone has at some point used Wayfarers and benefitted from their indescribably cool heritage. Join them.
GUCCI
Once the reserve of oily teddy boys or overly enthusiastic mods, the D-frame shape is making a comeback. Here Gucci combines a black acetate upper while the rest of the frame is made from a slim gold-tone metal. Grey tinted lenses allow for a slightly lighter look.
GIORGIO ARMANI
Sometimes style is about sweating the small stuff, and these retro inspired Armani shades - with elegant tapered temples and rhomboidal silver rivets - combine a vintage look together with superbly crafted contemporary tech. The very definition of a cool classic.
TOM FORD
It's undeniable that Tom Ford is one of the coolest, best-dressed men on the plane. This Aviators are arguably his style signature - and the great thing is that, you can get a pair exactly like his for yourself. Our favorites are his sleek, Italian-made Rick Aviators; complete with a rose gold frame and brown sweat bar with Ford's trademark "T" logo embossed on the temple.

FINLAY & CO X GLENMORANGIE
Handcrafted from original American White Oak casks used to age Glenmorangie Scotch Whisky, there are just 1843 pairs of these Finlay & Co sunglasses being made (a nod to the year the famous beverage was born). Each is individually numbered and designed to display the natural finish of the original whisky casks.
SAINT LAURENT
The problem with traditionally more masculine shades are the heavy, thick frames - the sort of look that mobster style film producers used to sport round some ingĂŠnue's pool in Bel Air during the mid Nineties. These Saint Laurent SL57 frames are Italian crafted, a touch more refined and certainly more slender.
PRADA
For anyone (like us) who admired Michael Caine's specs in The Ipcress File, these heavy-framed Sixtiesinspired shades are the perfect throw-back piece. Being Prada, of course, they manage to keep cool and contemporary, rather than anything too retro.
OLIVER SPENCER
If, like us, you're endlessly sitting on/dropping/losing your favourite pair of shades, then these Berts are the frames for you. A classic square shape that holds firm even if you don't - and a red tip on one arm providing an essential identifier.
KIRK ORIGINALS
If you want shades that are sure to go with everything you own, choose something in clear acetate. We particularly like the throwback Seventies shape of these Kirk Originals sunglasses - and with a seethrough frame and smoked lens, you be be hard pushed to find another pair this versatile.

TOIFA 2016 PHOTOGRAPHY BY: RABEA NATASHA
Kareena Kapoor Khan born in a family that have been actors for generations, including her paternal great-grandfather, Prithviraj Kapoor; her grandfather, Raj Kapoor; her paternal uncles, Shammi, Shashi, Rishi, and Rajiv; as well as aunt, Neetu Singh, & Jennifer Kendall, the wives of Rishi and Shashi respectively. On her maternal side, her grandfather, Hari Shivdasani, and aunt, Sadhana, have been actors in their own rights. As a child she studied in Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu, Bombay, and thereafter was enrolled in Dehra Dun's prestigious Welham Girls' Boarding School. Then she re-located to Harvard for approximately 3 months to take a course in information technology and microcomputers. Upon her return to India, she joined the Government Law College in Churchgate, Bombay, but left it after one year, to enroll in the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting School. Her dad, Randhir is very protective towards his daughters and wanted both of them to keep away from acting, get married, and settle down, as per the Kapoor family tradition. This led to irreconcilable differences between her parents, ultimately leading to a separation, with both sisters living with their mother who managed their careers. Her film debut was in the year 2000 with Refugee (2000) along with the debut of Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek. She went on to appear in 31 other Hindi movies, and has thus far won four awards for her performances in Refugee (2000), Chameli (2003), Dev (2004), and Omkara (2006).

TRENDS AROUND WORLD
BLACK STAINLESS STEEL
KITCHEN Black stainless steel appliances are predicted to be one of the top kitchen trends of 2016. The most popular appliance colors seem to change every few years — remember the days of pastel ovens? — and now it looks like polished stainless steel is on the way out. The new black stainless steel finish is said to complement traditional stainless finishes, as seen in this pairing of the black fridge and double oven with the classic stainless gas stove range, so it’s not a necessity to overhaul all your appliances if it’s not in the budget.
The new finish is said to be softer and warmer than traditional stainless, as seen in this kitchen by designer Emily Henderson. With the all-white cabinetry and light colored wood accents, this space could have felt very cold. Replacing common silver accents with the darker appliances and gold hardware and accents injects some much needed warmth!
Sleek grey-blue cabinets and a stone back splash pair beautifully with the matte black stainless steel appliances in this transitional kitchen.
This rich, masculine kitchen pairs all black stainless appliances with dark woods and stones. The amber pendant lighting above brings out the warmth in the materials in this kitchen.

TECH-LESS LIVING ROOMS It is predicted that a big trend this year will be “Tech-Less Living Rooms. Tech-filled homes certainly aren't going anywhere, but according to Houzz, more and more families are opting to keep their family rooms unplugged in order to facilitate more family time. This stunning digital-free living room is proof that a house can look smart without being full of gadgets. With so much screen time throughout the day and night, homeowners are looking for a calm respite where they can read a book, chat with friends and family or just sit quietly. Thus, the rise of living rooms devoid of digital distraction.
Beautiful shades of turquoise and hot pink pop in this cheerful Los Angeles living room created by Design Star winner Emily Henderson. Use big hits of color in a living room's palette to create a bright, airy and happy space that integrates both feminine and masculine details. Image courtesy Emily Henderson
The classic black-and-white color palette is given a refreshing twist when blue is added to the mix. Designer Abbe Fenimore painted the walls a crisp blue to present black-and-white furnishings in a bold new way. Blue accents add hints of the wall color to the living area.
Be playful with color in a creamy interior. Red details take this living room space from traditional to bright and modern. Red accents come through in the side chairs, cushions and media cabinet. With warm golden finishes, this room's color palette feels elegant and luxurious. Image courtesy Fawn Galli Interiors

TRAVEL&TOURISM
L ARRY F OGG TRIP TO ALASKA
J
an and I arrived at Anchorage, Alaska, late at night on Saturday, May, and took a taxi to an Anchorage hotel. The following morning we took a bus to Seward, Alaska, to board the cruise ship ZAANDAM for an Inside Passage cruise to Vancouver, B.C. The bus stopped at several sightseeing spots along the highway to Seward designed to time the bus arrival with the ship’s scheduled boarding time. One stop was at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. While walking around the center, we saw many animals including moose, elk, caribou, musk oxen, a porcupine, black bears, brown bears, Sitka black tailed deer, wood bison, and a lynx. We arrived at Seward at about 1:00 PM on May 19th and boarded the ZAANDAM. We had a cabin toward the bow of the ship with a large window that faced the promanade deck and was very near to the passenger lifts to the other deck levels. The ship departed Seward that evening and began sailing in a southeast direction. After the information and mandatory safety briefings, we settled in for our cruise to Vancouver. Since we had requested open seating, we had the freedom to dine in different restaurants at times of our choosing and to sit with many different people – a great way to make new acquaintances. We spent Monday, at sea and arrived at Glacier Bay during the morning. Several USA National Park rangers boarded the ship and we spent the day cruising in Glacier Bay National Park. While in Glacier Bay, we stopped in front of the Margerie Glacier and turned around in front of the Grand Pacific Glacier adjacent to the border with Canada. After dropping off the park rangers, we sailed during the night up the Lynn Canal arriving at Haines, Alaska. We disembarked at Haines and visited Fort Seward, the Sheldon Museum and Cultural Center, and the American Bald Eagle Foundation. The American Bald Eagle Foundation has two Bald Eagles that are fed two times a day with visitor viewing and several other birds as well as a wonderful display of preserved wildlife that included fish, mammals, and birds common to Alaska. We re-boarded the ship and began cruising onwards to Juneau, the capital of Alaska, arriving at Juneau on the

morning. After disembarking from the ship, we rode the Mount Robert’s tramway to the top of Mount Roberts where we hoped to hike a couple of trails. We soon found that the trails were closed due to late winter snowfalls. The complex at the top of the tramway had a beautiful female bald eagle, shops, a theater, and a restaurant. We saw a wonderful performance by the Alaska String Band, a family of Alaskan musicians. After descending back to Juneau on the tramway, we walked around Juneau city admiring the architecture, the four storey totem pole, and the State Capital Building. We also visited the library where we used the library Wi-Fi to catch up on our e-mails. The ship departed Juneau that evening and we arrived at Ketchikan during the morning. We disembarked from the ship and caught a complimentary shuttle bus to the Totem Heritage Center which houses a marvelous collection of 19th century totem poles and other carvings retrieved during the 1970s from abandoned Tlingit Indian

We then returned to downtown Ketchikan and walked along historic Creek Street which I found to be a very photographic area. We visited Dolly’s House, the home of Dolly Arthur who was Ketchikan’s most famous madam in the heyday of Creek Street. We continued touring downtown Ketchikan and visited the Tongass Historical museum before attending the Great Alaskan Lumberjack show. We departed Ketchikan during the evening and continued cruising toward the Inside Passage and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We cruised through the Inside Passage and arrived at Vancouver on Sunday morning.

After clearing USA Customs at the border we arrived at the Bellingham Airport where we took another bus to Anacortes, Washington, and took a ferry to Orcas Island to visit with friends. Although it rained nearly every day that we were at Orcas Island, we had a wonderful visit with our friends until we departed on May 30th to continue our journey to visit with friends at Federal Way, Washington. During our visit at Federal way, we went to Tacoma, Washington, on Friday night, May 31st to see the Tacoma Glass Museum at night. The Bridge of Glass was magnificent to view at night as were the other outdoor displays at the museum.

THE STANDING GIANT PAKISTAN, K2
OF
K2 is the second highest mountain in the world. It is in the Karakoram section of the Himalayas between Pakistan and China. K2 is the National mountain of Pakistan. The popular name K2 came from the name of the mountain range Karakoram. It means Karakoram 2. K2 is 8,623 metres (28,661 feet) high. The mountain may be harder to climb than Mount Everest because of its very badweather. Climbers say that the weather around K2 is much worse than Mount Everest. K2 is also much higher than the area around it when compared to Everest. K2 is nicknamed "The Savage Mountain" because of how difficult the climb is. It has the second-highest fatality rate among the eight-thousand-feet mountains. As of 2011, only 300 people have climbed to the top of the mountain. At least 80 people have died trying to climb it. Ashraf Aman ( born January 15, 1938) is a Mountaineer, Adventurer, and an Engineer from Pakistan. In 1977, he became first Pakistani to reach the summit of K2. The first attempt to reach the summit was made by an AngloSwiss expedition in 1902 that ascended to 18,600 feet (5,670 metres) on the peak’s northeastern crest. Other unsuccessful attempts included an Italian expedition in 1909, led by Luigi Amedeo, duke d’Abruzzi, via the southeastern ridge (later called the Abruzzi Ridge) that reached approximately 20,000 feet (6,100 metres). In 1938 an American expedition led by Charles Houston via the Abruzzi Ridge reached about 26,000 feet (7,925 metres); in 1939 another American-led expedition following the same route reached about 27,500 feet (8,380 metres); and in 1953 another expedition led by Houston reached 25,900 feet (7,900 metres) on the Abruzzi Ridge. Finally, in 1954, an Italian expedition consisting of five scientists (including the geologist Ardito Desio as leader), a doctor, a photographer, and 12 others, including a Pakistani, managed to conquer the Abruzzi Ridge despite the severe weather conditions. An unofficial name for K2 is Mount Godwin Austen, named for the man who first climbed it.

I may bring out a pickle cook book.” But the actress-singer, 23, is not sold on our pickle-flavour bites, adding: “Someone made me try pickled onion Monster Munch the other day and I almost threw up.”
it's just a fling, they said. Jennifer Lopez can't be serious about Casper Smart; she just wants a little post-divorce romp, they said. They were wrong. Because five years later, J. Lo and Casper are still going strong. So strong, in fact, that Casper proposed earlier this month, and the songstress said yes. They’ve settled on a secret late-summer wedding at Jennifer’s home in Hamptons, a source tells the publication. "It will be intimate, but there’ll be no shortage of glamour.” The couple want to keep the affair fairly low-key (for a celebrity wedding, that is) by limiting the guest list to about 150 people. Casper and J. Lo reportedly broke up back in 2014 amid rumors that he was cheating, but sources later claimed the couple were faking the breakup for publicity. We haven't seen Jennifer wearing a ring, but we're sure keeping our eyes peeled.

Screenwriter Linda Woolverton, who penned the script the first Maleficent will be back to write the sequel. The announcement was a surprise, given Jolie's hesitation in 2014. “I don't know,” she told Wild About Movies when questions of a sequel arose. “I enjoyed it. I just feel like we did this one thoroughly and I don't think there'd be another.” She added: “I feel like this is the one, if I was going to ever do a Disney one, this is the one I wanted to do. And I think we've done it well.” Angelina Jolie was recently overseas directing the direct to Netflix movie, First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers, based on the memoir from Cambodian author and human rights activist Loung Ung about surviving the deadly Khmer Rouge regime. Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are currently in London with their six children while Brad Pitt shoots the upcoming WWII drama, Allied. Maleficent opened in theaters in May 2014 and earned over $241 million at U.S. movie theaters. The film cost Walt Disney Pictures, the film's distributor, more than $175 million to produce.

HRITHIK ROSHAN CONTROVERSY, KANGANA RANAUT FINDS A FRIEND IN RANBIR KAPOOR! Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan’s big fight has got the press attention, but hush-hush whispers in Bollywood about the actress’ friendship with Ranbir Kapoor is growing louder by each passing day. Yes, if industry buzz is to be believed then Kangana and Ranbir have gotten close in the past few weeks. The duo was last spotted at Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Ki & Ka success bash at her residence. source suggests that Kangana and Ranbir are constantly exchanging messages. Both Kangana and Ranbir are lying low at the moment and are focusing on work. one of the two is keen on taking their friendship to the next level. But at the moment they are indeed ‘just friends’. Clearly Kangana would want to channelize all her energies on work considering that her legal battle with Hrithik is only getting murkier by the day. Ranbir too would rather stay single after his much hyped split with Katrina Kaif and not get embroiled in the whole Hrithik-Kangana fight. So it would be safe to say that the two are treading really carefully at the moment. Will things go to the next stage or not is yet to be seen.

TIGER SHROFF’S SEXIST COMMENTS WILL MAKE YOU QUESTION HIS GOOD BOY IMAGE! Tiger Shroff who has impressed his fans with awesome sauce stunts and amaze dance sequences SHOCKED everyone with his sexist statement in his recent interview for his upcoming flick Baaghi. He had said, “I will get married to a girl from the village. When I reach home, I want a massage so that I can get relaxed. She should stay at home, keep the house clean and give me home-cooked food. I like girls who are the housewife-type.” That’s an unlikely thing to say for the Baaghi star who has always maintained a shy, docile image through his public appearances. Tiger did not take this matter well and went on to Twitter to CLARIFY the matter. He wrote, “I am totally for women empowerment and equality and always talk about how they are as strong or stronger than men. I respect my mother and sister too much to say something like that. I know I’m barely a year old in the industry but for those who know me and who have accepted me you would know. Anyway love always.”
SALMAN KHAN’S REASON FOR NOT OWNING A CRICKET TEAM MIGHT JUST MAKE SHAH RUKH KHAN FANS HAPPY! Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have always been in the news, be it for their dosti or dushmani. But anyone who has closely followed their jhagda or dosti would know that there has always been a certain dignity with which they handled their equation. But they have accomplished it, and with what panache! In an interview, Salman was quizzed as to why he does not own a sports team and his response is so heart warming that it clearly sets example of how a superstar should be. He says, “I don’t see myself fighting with Delhi, Pune or KKR. No doubt, it’s a wonderful way to promote sports, but I want to be there (pointing to the top). So, when it becomes Salman’s team versus Preity’s team or Shah Rukh’s team, it no longer remains a sporting thing, it gets into the area of gossip. Also, the `responsible press’ will take away focus from the match, and I don’t want to give anybody that kind of mileage. I want to do something for the overall development of sports.”

THE BEAUTY OF H2 O By Cecily Whiteside
W
ater is the body's most powerful weapon in your beauty arsenal. It will help with weight loss efforts, let your skin maintain that dewy glow and allow you to exercise longer, harder and more efficiently to maintain both your health and your figure. It is like a sorcerer's brew designed to make you more beautiful. And it's right at your fingertips, as easy as simply taking a sip. According to the Mayo Clinic, our bodies are composed of 60% water. It is vital for the proper function of cells in muscle firing, food breakdown, brain function, and removal of waste products. Water also helps the body maintain its temperature to avoid dangerous fluctuations from both hot and cold environments. Each of these vital functions requires the use of water, which means we need to continually replace that which is lost through sweat, urination, or even breathing. While our bodies usually signal us to drink when we begin to dehydrate, sometimes we ignore the signals, or confuse them with other needs – like hunger or fatigue.
Wrinkles & Discoloration For those of us concerned about our appearance, water is even more important. Our skin is our largest organ and the body's repository for storing water. When we are drinking enough, the skin maintains a constant level of hydration, causing the cells to stay plump and the surface of our skin to remain smooth. If, however, we are chronically dehydrated, vital body functions will pull water from the skin where it is stored in order to maintain cell function in digestion and waste removal. As a result, the skin loses its texture, elasticity, and resiliency. Over time wrinkles and discoloring develop and the eyes can begin to look sunken and shadowed.

DEHYDRATED SKIN LEADS TO PREMATURE AGING
D
ehydrated skin is different from dry skin. Dry skin type means that your oil glands do not make enough oil for your skin's needs, which is on ongoing condition and calls for skincare products to remedy. Dehydrated skin is something very different, which skincare products cannot fix. Dehydrated skin is a temporary condition where the skin cells do not have enough water stored in them and it is much more easily addressed. The fix is simple. Drink water.
Skin care Products Cannot Fix Dehydrated Skin
A good rule of thumb is to drink 250ml 20 minutes before your workout, then another 250ml every 15 minutes during exercise.
Experts agree that while sugary or caffeinated beverages are fine to add to the diet in small quantities, water is the best option for health and beauty. Recommendations on the amount to drink vary, but it is hard to drink too much — the body simply flushes out the excess with frequent trips to the restroom. The best way to know if you are hydrated is to watch to color of your urine. Dark yellow means you need to drink more; very light yellow to clear means you are on target.Generally, this is about 2L per day. Those who live in arid or cold regions will need to drink more, as dry air and frigid temperatures tend to dry skin more quickly. Exercise also increases the need for water. Sweat is an obvious source of water loss, but increased breathing rates during your workout also leads to water loss. A good rule of thumb is to drink 250ml 20 minutes before your workout, then another 250ml every 15 minutes during exercise. Chronic dehydration is one of the most detrimental factors contributing to premature aging, but is also the most easily remedied. Being aware of your water intake is the least taxing form of self-care, and can produce almost instantaneous results. So drink up! Here's to a smoother, younger-looking you.
