ACCTS Prayer Reminder

1 Please pray for those who are preparing for

this month’s American English Language Camp in Ukraine, including indigenous military Christian fellowship (MCF) members and ACCTS and Olive Branch International staff members, including Paul Neu.

2 ACCTS’ annual Academy Exploration Asia

program is currently taking place in Japan and China. Two U.S. cadets are participating with Cal and Linda Dunlap, Ward and June Bursley, Rick and Melissa Ryles, and Ed and Sally Ward. Please pray for God’s hand to be on this group.

3 In April international military Christians from six nations attended ACCTS’ Chaplains Interaction program. Now that participants have returned to their home nations, pray that the Holy Spirit will help them implement what they learned.

4 A military Christian in Cameroon writes, “After

our return from Chaplains Interaction 2009… when I got to Yaounde (my new place of assignment) we started an MCF with some brethren…”. He asks for prayer that they will find a larger meeting area to accommodate their growing military Christian fellowship.

from April 2010 until 2011 because Caribbean troops are heavily involved in Haitian relief work. Pray that military Christians in Haiti will share the news that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalms 34:18).

9 Ugandan military Christians hosted an AMCF

East African regional conference in May. Thank God for the faithful Christians in East Africa and pray for them as they walk with Christ and share Him with others. 10 This weekend the Armed Forces Christian Union of the UK (afcu.org.uk) hosts a Link-Up weekend for its members. Pray that this event, and the contacts made during it, will strengthen the lives and ministries of all who attend.

11 Pray that military Christians in Sudan will stay strong in their faith and in their desire to act righteously in all they do.

14 Summer is often a slow time in terms of donations to non-profit organizations such as ACCTS. Pray that ACCTS’ financial situation will stay strong so that our ministry to military Christians won’t be hindered. 15 The cadets who participated in the Academy Exploration Asia trip (see day two) return to the U.S. today, and ACCTS staff return later this week. Pray for their safe arrival. 16 Pray with Ken and Jonna Carpenter as they work with Bible societies to distribute Bibles to international military personnel. 17 The Armed Forces Christian Union (UK) hosts a family weekend retreat from 18-20 June. Pray that this event will strengthen the families who attend and lead participants into a deeper faith in Christ.

18 Pray with Dickson Ogwang as he shares Christ’s spirit of reconciliation throughout Africa.

23 Pete Prindle will give out copies of the book “Giving Ourselves to Prayer” to chaplains at a 24-27 June CAST (Chaplain Annual Sustainment Training) conference. Pray that the chaplains who receive the book will be encouraged by it and develop a deeper prayer life as a result of reading it. 24 Pray that Vic and Marsha Grazier and Bill and Suzanne Lumpkin will be Holy Spirit-led as they share Christ with international military students in Ohio and Texas.

25 Pray that chaplains in Romania who attended a May IAEC training event will proclaim the gospel of God in all they do while serving Romania’s armed forces. 26 Pray with Officers’ Christian Fellowship (USA) as their new executive director, General David Warner, assumes his duties in August.

19 Pray for --Philip Yancey Andrei and other MCF leaders in Russia as they work to officially register their fellowship. Pray also that God will bless their efforts to develop Bible study and conversational prayer groups.

20 Father’s Day (USA) “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (I John 3:1) 21 ACCTS’ sister-organization in Korea, Military Evangelism Observation, hosts an event from 21-28 June which trains potential military Christian fellowship leaders. ACCTS will have a teaching team at this event. Pray for all who teach at and participate in this course. 22 ACCTS staff members Bob and Billie Jean Reifsnyder will lead an IAEC (International Association of Evangelical Chaplains) team to Guatemala from 22-24 June to provide training for MCF members who do family counseling ministries with military families. 27 Praise God for, and pray for, the military Christian fellowship of Lithuania and its ongoing ministry to young officers and cadets.

28 In July ACCTS staff members He Gang and Russ Hammerud will lead an American English Language Training Camp in China. This is an opportunity for ACCTS to share Christ’s love by teaching English language. Praise God with us for this opportunity and pray that God’s Spirit will lead He Gang and Russ in their teaching endeavors.

29 Today ACCTS, MMI, and MSO staff members participate in a pray-and-plan meeting to determine how to revise the AMCF Reference Manual. Pray that God will give them a clear vision for their revisions. In particular, pray for Jim Greshel, the lead editor. 30 In July ACCTS and IAEC (International Association of Evangelical Chaplains) will present a twoweek chaplaincy course in Honduras for activeduty military personnel. This course was requested by the MCF of Honduras. Praise God for the MCF’s vision and ministry and pray that this course will bring glory to God.
