JACQUIE MARQUEZ Chef / Culinary Personality

Starting her career in the telenovela industry, Jacquie Marquez became a familiar face in the entertainment business and more recently expanded her career into the kitchen, as a chef. Now the mother of a new baby girl, Jacquie has come to enjoy firsthand the experiences of a working mom and sharing her tips along her journey. Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Venezuela Jacquie made a trip back to the United States where she was selected among thousands of participants to take part in Telemundo's Actors Workshop. Subsequently, this led to her acceptance into the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. Throughout her acting career Jacquie has starred in a number of major television projects; El Rostro de AnalĂa,Victorinos, Mi CorazĂłn Insiste, Mia Mundo, and El Rostro de la Venganza to name a few. Alongside her acting career, Jacquie pursued her passion for the kitchen and attended the Instituto Iberoamericano de Gastronomia in Venezuela. Pivotal in her life, this opportunity provided her the discipline to overcome her constant battle with weight. Given her public platform as an actress, her struggle with weight and ultimately eating disorders was transformed into one of inspiration. Jacquie was able to take the criticism that came with the spotlight as motivation to lose over 80 lbs and credits this accomplishment to being educated in the kitchen. To her, eating healthy should not be considered dieting, it should be a lifestyle and this is the message she continues to deliver as a chef. Jacquie would later go on to open her own catering company based in Miami called "Food Smarter" which specializes in eating intelligently. Following the launch of her catering company, she combined her culinary perspective with her on-camera skills to participate in ABC's program The Chew on their search for the Weight Watchers chef. After a nationwide search of thousands of chefs, six remained with Jacquie being one of them. In addition to domestic programming Jacquie has appeared in international programs like Telemundo's Un Nuevo Dia and Univision's Despierta America.

In late 2015 Jacquie found herself at a new turning point in life, becoming a mom. With baby Moet in tow, Jacquie's new goals became crafting nutritious bites for her growing baby and shedding her post baby weight. These new firsthand experiences have inspired her to educate new moms on the dos and don'ts of baby nutrition. With the expected 2016 launch of her YouTube channel, Es Por Ti, which primarily focuses on baby nutrition and empowering new moms, she is poised to take the next step in her life and career.

Wordmark The personality is the character of the brand and Jacquie Marquez personifies our brand in all of its extensions. Jacquie's logo type was developed from the letter "J" taken from her first name, creating a semi-circle to form a heart. Jacquie's name utilize the font Crunch and her last name, Marquez, uses the font Rio Glamour. In its entirety, her full name has become the logo for our brand.
