Space and Beyond Poems for kids
Poems about space by Emi Lipoth
100 years from now 100 years from now, astronauts will go whizzing past in superfast rockets to reach the other side of the universe. They will see black holes collide, they will see meteorites crash they will see alien spaceships 100 years from now.
The Greedy Black Hole
The greedy black hole eats everything in it’s way. From meteorites to spaceship decay and two planets every day.
Aurora Borealis A line of purple , green , orange and pink lights make a line of evening candles in the sky.
Departure
The rocket starts up it’s engines and a big puff of grey smoke and light emerges. The big, bulky spaceship takes off, leaving only memories.
My cousin
My cousin is different than me, there’s nothing we look alike, clearly you see. She likes her space butter, on meteorite toast. I’m more polite! (If I have to boast) Her five antennae are crooked, not straight. My cousin has no patience, she hates to wait. My cousin is different than than me, what’s more, she’s an alien on planet Zbee!
The Meteorite
…..
The meteorite was going really fast until

Trip to Mars
I hate going to Mars. It takes soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long! We have to travel in a shuttle, and read books all along. I’d rather have fun and Rainbows End, where you can have fun, and have lots of time to spend.
Alien Attack
There was a flying saucer in the backyard. I screamed and I ran, really fast. My dog tripped and got picked up by the alien, and then I realised, it was only my alien cousin.
Rocket Odyssey
My rocket flies fast, My rocket flies elegant past the silver crescent moon pale and strong all day and all night no sleep I get but it will be a trip I won’t forget. A destination to the other side of the universe, flying silent, flying quick until the finish line ahead six years.
Hot stones
Hot rocks, on the moon. stepping quickly, stepping soon. Flexible spacesuit, big and strong over hot stones, big and long.
No Gravity
Jump big and high, far and low cause on the moon; there’s less gravity to pull you in, unlike here on earth! I can do a backflip a frontflip a cartwheel and a handstand, here on the trampoline!
