Prepare health profession students for effective medication safety outreach Generation Rx is committed to teaching people of all ages about safe medication taking practices. First established in 2007, Generation Rx has continuously developed innovative educational resources while building on its rich history of student-driven outreach. With five unique programs for reaching different ages and populations—and multiple collaborations with youth-serving organizations across the country— Generation Rx is committed to supporting effective, sustainable outreach nationwide.

Our new Generation Rx Ambassadors training program is a self-paced online course available to support health professional students toward serving as medication safety leaders. Generation Rx Ambassadors prepares students toward engaging in local community outreach efforts and teaching safe medication practices using evidence-based strategies.

The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and the Cardinal Health Foundation developed Generation Rx, a national prevention education program designed to educate people of all ages about medication safety. Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Council has partnered with Generation Rx to incorporate this important medication safety education into the mission of Girl Scouts.
