RESUME

BLUE HOLE REIMAGINED WIMBERLEY, TX COMPREHENSIVE STUDIO Water is central to the environmental identity of the Central Texas Hill Country. Blue Hole Park in Wimberley, Texas attracts many people year round due to the beautiful natural landscape that houses infamous blue hole swimming hole. From the beginning of this studio, our team pushed to maintain a symbolic relationship between structure and environment. This included a design that was minimally intrusive in form and blurs the line between interior and exterior spaces. We created a tensile structure with a fully accessible rooftop that develops a range of public and private programs including several swimming pools and spa amenities. In addition to these central values, climate data, sustainability and energy ef ficiency played a large role in the spatial quality of our design. [designed with Michelle Kishinevsky]

F O R M S T U D Y 01 PATH FINDING Lines were drawn tangent to the existing path to anticipate the natural flow of people.

FORM STUDY 02 TRAFFIC POINTS Imaginary lines continued on to find circulation hot spots. These areas would be considered for threshold placement.

FORM STUDY 03 FORM CAPTURING Using the circulation datums above, a curving form was drawn to capture the space between the lines.

GULF COAST DESIGN LAB BOLIVAR PENINSULA, TX ADVANCED STUDI0 The Gulf Coast Design Lab is the first longrunning ecologically based program that fosters environmental activism within the field of design and for the public. This studio is a one semester long advanced design-build lab that focused on creating an outdoor classroom for the crenshaw school of environmental studies located on the wetlands of the gulf coast. Through field based research, our studio designed and built a space that was both supportive of the schools needs as well as nurturing relationships between the students and their natural environment. FIGHTING GLOBAL WARMING NETWORK AUSTIN, TX DESIGN V This studio focused on researching and employing sustainable design techniques within an urban context. This building, a fighting global warming network headquarters in Austin, Texas, seeks to educate individuals about what we eat and its contribution to greenhouse gas emissions. through a series of community gardens and space to prepare and consume their produce, individuals are empowered to reduce their meat and non local food consumption while forming lasting connections with each other. A series of frames layer and fold to create this urban farm; a social ecosystem. I chose to research and apply cross laminated timber (CLT) within my building to spread awareness of sustainable building techniques.

MIXED USE BUILDING 605 W 4TH STREET AUSTIN, TX DESIGN IV The final project for this studio is a mixed use development focused on reducing the heat island ef fect by using technologies studied during the semester and utilized in previous projects. The program consists of micro units, with an average size of 250-250 square feet and fully furnished, co-working space, and a restaurant. This project required thorough site research, integration with the program solution, intent to maximize FAR as well as an application of green design strategies. The image above is of a study model made before the final concept that anylized the massing of the various programs.

Each occupant has personal access from their unit to the community enjoyed space. When not taking advantage of shoal creek below, residents can de -stress and enjoy the simplistic landscaping of their “urban backyard”. WESTBANK MARKET PATIO AUSTIN, TEXAS PAT I O A N D STO R E F R O N T R E N O VAT I O N TIMELINE: 2 MONTHS

Located in the suburbs of Austin, Texas, this former Jasons Deli and adjacent outdoor space was under utilized by its community. This patio addition was requested by the property owner in attempt to provide an additional 1500 sq ft of comfortable outdoor lounge/ dining space for the new restaurant tenant. Designing with potential client, Flowerchild, in mind, I was responsible for taking this project from initial concepting to final SD presentations. TASKS - Concept creation and image sourcing - Redesign and 3D modeling of existing storefront and patio addition - Preliminary renderings - Schematic floor plans [Project lead: Maija Kreishman, final renderings by Kat Hallisey]

10 2 0 S P R I N G ST ATLANTA , GA F U L L S C H E M AT I C D E S I G N PAC K AG E TIMELINE: 4 MONTHS

In partnership with KPF, HKS, and Core, our team was tasked with creating an interiors SD package for level 1 and level 8 of this high rise of fice tower in Atlanta, Georgia. The program of level 1 is categorized by a space where the regular user can grab their daily cof fee and take an impromptu meeting. Level 8 is an all inclusive amenities floor that includes a lush outdoor terrace, cocktail bar, co working space, cof fee robot, gym and spa level locker rooms for the tenants of the entire building. Tenants of this building range from tech to law which presented a challenge in narrowing down a cohesive design concept early on. Through several iterations, our team created a work space that is casual enough for the everyday user and encourages gathering and interaction with nature. TASKS - Concept creation and image sourcing - 3D modeling of main architectural & landscaping components - Design and placement of custom furniture & light fixture families - Sourcing and applying finishes - Rendered floor plans and elevations - Spec and finish documentation
