BLUE HOLE REIMAGINED WIMBERLEY, TX DESIGN VI | MICHAEL GARRISON
Wa t e r i s c e n t r a l t o t he a e s t he t i c a n d environmental identity of Central Te x a s H i l l C o u n t r y . B l u e H o l e P a r k in Wimberley attracts many people year round due to the beautiful natural landscape that houses infamous blue hole swimming hole. from the beginning, our team pushed to maintain a symbolic relationship between structure and environment. this included a design that was minimally intrustive in form and blurs the line bet ween interior and exterior spaces. we created a tensile structure with a fully accesssable rooftop that develops a range of public and private programs. In addition to these central values, climate data, sustainability and energy efficency played a large roal in the spatial qualit y of our design. [designed in collaboration with Michelle Kishinevsky]

MAT E R I A L in addition to a structural study, we also were encouraged to explore materials that would prove to be seamless in the natural enviroment of wimberly, texas. this elevation is a reflection of the scheme imagined on the right and was iterated several times to achive the final design.

MATERIAL STUDY ELEVATION
STRUCTURE in assignment 1 of this studio, we were tasked with studying the structure of aquatic spaces and the relationship with interiors. this wall section combines elements of water collection, green roof, and interior space.

FIGHTING GLOBAL WARMING NETWORK AUSTIN HEADQUARTERS DESIGN V | MARI MICHAEL GLASSELL
the final project for this studio is a fighting global warming network h e a d q u a r t e r s i n A u s t i n , Te x a s . t h i s building seeks to educate individuals about what we eat and its contribution to greenhouse gas emissions. through a series of community gardens, individuals are empowered to reduce their meat and non local food consumption while forming lasting connections with each other. a series of frames layer and fold to create this urban farm; a social ecosystem. i chose to research and apply cross laminated timber (CLT) within my building to spread awareness of sustainable building techniques.

PNEUMATIC TUBES: A CYBERNETIC THEATRE AUDITORIUM SHORES AUSTIN, TEXAS DESIGN VI | DANELLE BRISCOE
the final project of this speculative studio was an interactive or cybernetic theater that speculated on solutions for the state of our planet. while the idea of site was an abstration of conditions rather than a particular space my structure was momentarily located at auditorium shores in Austin, Te x a s . program was determined b y c e d r i c p r i c e ’s c y p e r n e t i c s u b committee list and social rejuvination approach was derived from the initial material and system design research in assignment 1 and 2. this structure is air inflated which was my response in creating a temorary and easily constructed structure.

STUDY MODEL 02 TENSION in a more regtangular study, string theathers were used to ground the programatic masses to the site and express the weighlessness of a pneumatic structure.
S T U D Y M O D E L 01 S I T E E X P E R I M E N TAT I O N in this series of 3D drawings, i explored circulation as a driver for both program and form. straws along a sting track of intrest to curiously test possibilities of massing along the waters edge.

i n p a r t n e r s h i p w i t h K P F, H K S , a n d C o r e , our team was tasked with creating an interiors SD package for level 1 and level 8 of this high rise office tower in Atlanta, Georgia. the program of level 1 is categorized by a space where the regular user can grab their daily cof fee and take an inpromptu meeting. level 8 is an all inclusive amenities floor that includes a lush outdoor terrace, cocktail b a r, c o w o r ki n g s p a c e , c o f f f e e ro b o t , gym and spa level locker rooms for the tenants of the entire building. the tenants of this building range from tach to law which presented a challenge in narrowing down a cohesive design concept early on. through several iterations, our team created a work space that is casual enough for the everyday user and encourages gathering and interation with nature. TAS KS - concept creation and image sourcing - 3D modeling of main architectural & landscaping components - design and placement of custom furniture & light fixture families - sourcing and applying finishes - rendered floor plans and elevations - spec and finish documentation [drawings & renderings completed amongst project team; Emily Cano, Stephanie Betesh & Samantha Eisenbud]
