Hey guys!

Em’s Entries

For those of you who don’t know, my name is Emily Yang and I am so excited to serve as Division 3W’s 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor! I wanted to thank Cinco Ranch, Cypress Ranch, and Mayde Creek for inviting me to your banquets and socials! I loved meeting all the Key Clubbers and all of the retiring and incoming officers! Now that everyone is officially enjoying the glorious days of summer, I wanted to encourage all of you to continue to plan summer events, socials, service projects, etc. We serve throughout the whole year, including summers! Summers are a great way to get ahead on fundraising for DCON and attracting more members for the next school year. Remember we report during the summer as well! Please don’t forget about the special Eliminate Project Division 3 is involved in; you could definitely use the month of June to plan a fundraiser for this project! If I didn’t get to meet you at the May DCM, no worries, there is always this month’s DCM! Hope to see everyone on June 24th!! Yours in Service, Emily Yang

Month Recap A big thank you to Cinco Ranch and Cypress Ranch for inviting me to their banquets! I had a great time making new friends and meeting all of their retiring and newly inducted board. Also, a huge thank you to Mayde Creek for having me at their end-of-the-year-celebration social! Huge s/o to those of you who came out to our first DCM! There was a total of 90 people with around 50 people coming from 10 of our clubs. I loved meeting all of the dedicated Key Clubbers in Division 3W and Region 12! Overall, it was a successful month to start off a new year of service! I hope everyone is excited for all of the upcoming summer service event opportunities! Key Club Pledge:

Pun of the Month:

I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International, to build my home, school, and community, to serve my nation and God, and combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions!

Did you hear about the guy who got hit in the head with a can of soda? He was lucky it was a soft drink!

Special K-Family Project Special Opportunity: Don’t forget you have until the end of this month, until June 30th, to raise $100 and send it in to Mr. Iselin!! We have a goal of having at least 15 clubs in Division 3 to raise the $100 so let’s help out in any way we can! Mr. Iselin, the T-O Kiwanis Division 3 Lieutenant Governor, has given us a chance to further our efforts in the Eliminate Project! T-O Division 3 takes pride in being one of the only 2 Divisions in T-O where all of the Kiwanis Clubs are pledged Model Clubs for the Eliminate Project(also home Division to Kiwanis Governor John Sheridan!!). YOU can help out by raising $100 by the end of June as an Eliminate donation in the name of Kiwanis, so that Division can achieve being a fully paid Model Club Division. Any Key Club that raises $100 for Eliminate by June 30th will be given a one of a kind T-O Kiwanis "Signature Project" patch for their banner. You interact with other clubs to receive and exchange ideas for a successful fundraiser! All Eliminate funds for this special fundraiser must be sent to Mr. Iselin, contact him or me for a mailing address; he will meet with any club officer to pick up cash.
