Hello hello Grizzlies! Welcome back to the District Service Projects Manual! Thank you for taking the time to read this manual. As we get closer and closer to Fall Rally, make sure to host as many service projects and fundraisers as you can to continue supporting our wonderful Minor Emphasis, the Pediatric Trauma Program! The Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is a charity established by the Kiwanis CalNev-Ha Foundation in 1994 which focuses on the need for education and training in pediatric trauma and injury prevention. The purpose of the program is to develop local service projects to educate people of children’s safety to decrease the number of children who are severely injured or killed due to traumatic unintentional injuries. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that all kids have the opportunity to lead happy, healthy, and safe lives. The month of October is also especially important because it marks the Cal-NevHa District’s annual PTP Week! Join KIWIN’S, Key Club, and Circle K members from all over California, Nevada and Hawaii to raise awareness for and support PTP. The week takes place from October 14-18 and features a different theme each day for members to participate in! Don’t forget to use the tag #CNHPTP2019 on your social media posts for a chance to win some prizes! In addition, all of the service projects in this manual are meant to raise awareness for PTP and help YOU do some good this October. I encourage you to utilize this manual and all of your resources to support PTP and ensure children are safe. With that being said, thank you for reading this manual and happy spooky season! With a passion to serve, Emma Chang CNH KIWIN’S District Governor Service Projects Committee Head kiwins.dgov@gmail.com
