Tea Shop Supervisor

Receptionist The Langdale Estate – 4 star hotel, timeshare resort, spa, 4 bars and restaurants and brimstone a 16 bedroom boutique hotel, a set in 35 acres of woodland in the heart of the Lake District. We require somebody to join our team on a busy reception, which covers the Langdale hotel & timeshare. Experience is preferred but training will be given on all aspects of the role. You must believe in and be able to provide first class customer service and should be highly organised with good communication skills, both face to face and over the phone. As with any reception role, the ability to multi task is essential. The role includes all general reception duties including answering switchboard, taking reservations, liaising with all departments, dealing with guest queries etc. This is a full time, permanent position, 39 hours over 5 days out of 7. Will include evening and weekend work. An opportunity has arisen for an admin assistant to assist within Gateway, our Guest Services hub. This new roles main focus will be accounts; but will also cover aspects of sales, reception, and customer service to ensure a seamless guest journey for hotel, spa, timeshare and rental guests. As this is a guest facing role a high level of customer service is essential. You will need to feel comfortable communicating with guests both in person, over the phone and via email. Numerical accuracy and an attention to detail are essential. Having the ability and willingness to acquire job related knowledge through self-development and by learning from others is essential as this position takes in aspects from a number of different roles. Despatch Assistants Home Shopping Kendal Centre Fixed Term – Immediate Start Full time – 39 hours – core day time hours Part time – 32 hours/24 hours/16 hours – core day time hours These roles involve assisting and supporting our existing teams preparing customers orders for despatch. They are manual jobs which involve light but repetitive handling of stock to and from shelving and pallets so you need to be able to reach and bend. You need to be numerate, accurate, conscientious, familiar with or willing to learn to use tablet/hand held computer terminals, capable of being self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Distribution Assistants Kendal Centre Fixed Term – Immediate Start Full time – 39 hours Part time – 32 hours Part time – 35 hours (night contracts) Our distribution team are responsible for picking and despatching stock against very tight deadlines for our home shopping department, our 69 retail stores throughout the UK and our overseas franchised stores. These are manual jobs, therefore you need to be able to reach and bend to pick items from shelving and pallets. You need to be conscientious and accurate, with good maths abilities and basic keyboard skills. You should be self-motivated as well as a good team player and be able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment. Roles involve operating order picking machines however full training will be given so no previous experience is required. Due to the nature of the equipment used, applicants need to be over 18 years of age and be available to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
