MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Burlington Slate Limited is part of the Holker Group of Companies owned by the Cavendish Family. The Role: The Engineer will be required to work in a busy manufacturing environment across a platform of many different types of machinery ranging from small bridge saws, compressors and generators to large belt driven frame saws, overhead cranes and conveyor systems, working on reactive and preventative maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will be time-served and will ideally hold an HNC or equivalent in mechanical engineering, with ‘handson’ experience of servicing and repairs across a variety of static and mobile plant and machinery. An awareness of lean working and planned maintenance and/or an electrical understanding would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be given. In addition to technical competency, applicants must be enthusiastic, flexible (shift work and changes of location may be required), able to demonstrate problem-solving skills and a commitment to working safely.
