We currently have a vacancy for a Canteen Kitchen Assistant/ Cook. We offer a friendly environment, where you will be providing an excellent catering service to our employees from across the business. Our Kitchen Assistant/Cook is responsible for greeting and serving customers in a professional, warm and friendly manner. The successful candidate would be required to assist with the cooking, preparing food for the next day, preparing a range of sandwiches and buffets, cleaning, pot washing, operating the till, serving and filling vending machines as required. Previous experience of working within a kitchen would be an advantage, however full training will be given. The successful candidate should be confident and be able to use their own initiative. The hourly rate for this role is £8.27 ph. Contracted hours: We can be flexible to suit the needs of the applicant, the minimum contract is 16 hours a week and the maximum is 43.5 hours per week. Operating Hours: The canteen operates between the hours of 6am until 2.00pm Monday to Friday, 6am until 9.30am on a Saturday, therefore you will need to meet the operating hours of the canteen. You will also be required to work extra hours to cover for other canteen team members as required including cover for the Canteen Manager.
