PROJECT MANAGER (Maternity Cover) 18.5 hours per week Pay Range £27,905 - £32,878 pro rata (according to experience). Local Government pension scheme. We are looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for delivery of projects identified by Kendal Town Council and its Action Plan. This will include responsibility for the entire project lifecycle including overseeing the work undertaken by contractors. The role also includes responsibility for production of the Council’s Newsletter, management of the Council’s website and appointment as Data Protection Officer for the Council. Applicants should be a self-starter with experience of project management in a relevant sector. They should possess experience of dealing with the public and contractors, partnership working, undertaking project planning and delivery and use of IT. They should also have good communication skills, be able to prioritise workloads and be flexible.

Domestic Abuse Support Project Worker £9.28 per hour | Part time: 12-16 hours per week Springfield is a South Lakeland charity supporting survivors of domestic abuse. More details can be found on our website www.springfieldsupport.org. We are currently looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Project Worker to join our small staff team. This post will be based in our community support hub in Kendal. The role will involve taking referrals, providing one to one support and facilitating group workshops for clients who have experienced domestic abuse. You will be expected to manage a small caseload. You will have a clear understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on survivors. You should have experience of providing one to one support and advocacy for clients, signposting to other agencies, multi-agency working, risk assessing and safety planning. This post is currently funded until January 2020 with the possibility of extending subject to funding.
