KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES In this prominent role you will maintain complete control of the kitchen at all times, command the respect of your team, floor staff and Managers. You will spot and resolve problems efficiently, maintain calm level headedness and ensure the highest standards are maintained. • Managing and communicating well with your team. • Be responsible for the kitchen’s financial performance. • Setting the standards through example for impeccable personal hygiene and food hygiene. • Productively and pro-actively train and mentor junior chefs and push them to constantly improve. • Take responsibility for the kitchen due diligence procedures ie; HACCP; COSHH; food wastage and rotas. • Maintain a safe working environment within health & Safety guidelines. • Collaborate in the continuing development of the ‘Slates concept’. The post is for part time hours including morning, afternoon and evening shifts as part of a rota. There is the possibility of full time hours and sleep in shifts in the future. Flexibility is required. Hourly rates of pay are £12 weekdays and £14 weekends. Full Driving Licence essential. This position is subject to DBS Enhanced Disclosure.

What questions should I ask in an interview? “So, is there anything you’d like to ask us…” Boy do those words strike fear into the hearts of most people! It’s the end of the interview and now it’s your turn to ask a few smart questions to impress them – but what to ask? Do NOT start asking about holiday/ vacation, or the finer details of the salary arrangements, instead ask questions that show how keen you are to work there and develop in the role.
