The role will include providing personal care with regular monitoring of the lady’s well-being. Appropriate responses to her needs will be essential to keep her comfortable and safe. As part of the lady’s rehabilitation the role includes simple therapeutic exercises to help improve her communication and awareness. You will work with the lady’s family, independently as sole carer or in a team of two. At the lady’s home you will receive full training in all aspects of your support duties. This will include professional training with certification for moving and handling and clinical care. As this role is to support the family, duties will include shopping, housekeeping, etc. Applicants should be available to work 2-4 days per 7-day week. Working days will not necessarily run consecutively and, by mutual agreement, will vary from week to week. This flexible arrangement will suit someone with few commitments. A normal shift is 11.0021.00, and occasional early starts/late finishes will be necessary.
