Caretaker (37.5 hours a week)

Full time position between the hours of 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday term time. Varying daytime hours through the school holidays. Full time position working 45 hours a week over 5 days in a 7-day week, between the hours of 7am-7pm. The position would suit an experienced all-round chef looking to work only 5 evenings a year maximum and join our established team. Salary dependant on experience. General Manager

Windermere Motorboat Racing Club, Windermere A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to run the Windermere Motorboat Racing Club under a Franchisee agreement. The position involves all aspects of organising the smooth running of the house and grounds, including the bar, catering and functions and lettable accommodation. Responsibilities: • Providing impeccable front of house service to both members and general public at all times. • Ensuring all areas of the club house are always available to members and guests and are tidy & clean. • Management of the bar, including staffing, product ordering and stocktaking. • Taking responsibility of all necessary club administration and finances. Required experience: • Experience of catering for a variety of functions, from dinner dances of 12 people to weddings of 200. • Excellent culinary skills and ability to take charge of breakfasts and bar lunches, as well as high quality evening meals. • Management of staff which you will be responsible for hiring when required. • Previous, relevant recent experience running a similar operation as well as some letting bedroom experience e.g. hotel management or golf club operation. • Previously running an operation under a Franchise agreement would be an advantage. • The role will suit a highly motivated, self-disciplined individual who wants to grow with and develop their business. • Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with members, staff and contactors. Franchisee Details • A fixed retainer is paid monthly, plus a percentage commission is paid on all catering, events and rooms. • The position comes with a free self-contained flat within the main house which is suitable for a small family. • Franchisee will be solely franchised to the Club and it will be their sole employment which will take the majority of their efforts and time. • The Franchisee must be VAT registered whether trading as a sole trader or incorporated as a limited Company.
