Sedbergh Soap Company is seeking a cheerful, outgoing person to fill a key role in our small, busy team. We are embarking on exciting new projects, so we need a practical minded person who wants to be part of the journey. It is a very varied job where we get to create and prepare products that make people happy and promote good health. We offer a good rate of pay and flexible hours.
You will need a confident and positive ‘can do’ attitude, be self-motivated and capable of working unsupervised on your own initiative but also happy to ‘do what it takes’ within a team.
A good eye for detail and consistency is essential.
You’ll be working closely with our founder and resident Spa specialist in a dynamic environment where enthusiasm for exceeding client expectation is the driving force. Regular lifting is required. Some customer facing experience is desirable but not essential. Industry experience is not necessary as all training is provided.
We manufacture organic bath and skincare products. Our speciality is creating new, innovative products and 100% bespoke amenities and spa treatments for leading hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, and private estates. Sedbergh Soap has won 31 national business and product awards since 2008 and enjoy a loyal customer following.

More? Bakery is a family owned bakery and café just outside of Kendal. You will be part of a team who are passionate about artisan bread, amazing coffee and fantastic food. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service and working in a friendly, hard working environment. Ideally you will already have barista coffee making experience but all staff are given extensive in house training.
We do require rota flexibility outside of public transport schedules so having your own means of transport is essential. 40 hours per week, 28 days holiday, 3 days off over Christmas period (Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day). Starting at £10.50 per hour you will quickly have the opportunity to develop with in house training. All staff lunch breaks are paid with food provided.

*Base salary of £10.45 per hour, working 40 hour weeks (3 days one week, 4 days the next) plus one overtime shift every fortnight (even mix of day and night/weekend shifts). Annual salary without overtime is £21,719.
With three services in Kendal, there will be plenty of variety in your day-to-day as you provide care to people with learning disabilities and autism.
What does this mean? Well, your day could involve helping residents to make food, taking them out for activities (e.g. cinema, a walk), or playing games. It’s about supporting the residents to be engaged in meaningful occupation.

Join our award winning team of bakers, providing vital assistance in the daily production of artisan bread and pastries. You will receive the training and support needed to help in the production process and tasks will include weighing, mixing, moulding dough.
This is an ideal role for someone who has been involved in the catering industry and perhaps wants to improve their work life balance. No split shifts and with the support of an established, stable well trained team.
