Ideally (but not essential) you will have previous experience of:
• Operating agricultural and plant machinery
• Landscaping/general gardening, forestry, or tree work
• Basic plumbing, joinery and “fix-it” skills
• A basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and mechanics.
• A “can do” approach to most areas of maintenance and development projects.
• A passion for fixing things and solving problems.
• A straightforward, no-nonsense approach to work.
A current valid UK Driving licence is essential.
We offer:
• A permanent contract of employment
• £14.00 per hour over a 40-hour week (Monday-Friday), paid monthly.

I am looking for reliable, competent and responsible support workers/Personal care assistants who have lots of energy and a definite can-do approach to join our developing team in a welcoming and well-resourced domestic setting providing a person-centred quality living and lifestyle experience for a charming young male adult with an acquired brain injury and epilepsy living between Kendal and Carnforth.
What’s required?
• Appropriate qualifications (NVQ or QCF 2 or 3 and/or willing to train to this level) and experience of working in a similar environment and / or with behaviour with challenge is desirable.
• Highly motivated employees with a professional approach to work and a commitment to high standards and meticulous record keeping.
• Individuals with good computer skills and experience in using applications like Launchpad, iMovie, GarageBand, Facebook, Messenger, Skype etc.
• Creative individuals and/or individuals with Complimentary interests and skills in the areas of Filmmaking, Photography, Arts and Crafts, Music, Woodwork, Cooking, Gardening and Sport. This role may also suit those with training in Sport, Physio or Occupational therapy.
• Rural area so driver with own car essential/clean licence desirable. Client has his own vehicle. Your role will be to provide a comfortable, rich and fulfilling home lifestyle whilst simultaneously supporting the young man in his rehabilitation and maximising his potential and skills set. Day-to-day you will have responsibility to organise and support the client in personal care and hygiene tasks, his physio programme as well as carry out maintainace and domestic living tasks.
