IT Assistant
Working as part of a small team, the role will include proactively managing and maintaining the groups’ network infrastructure, deploying PCs and associated peripherals, particularly POS systems, including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment. Assisting in the development of internal systems and software and installing/configuring hardware and software to agreed standards. Ensuring that systems and software are kept up to date, issues are prioritised/dealt with promptly and providing technical support to system users. A keen interest in IT, a willingness to learn, train and develop through experience and a full driving licence are required. Windermere and District Food Bank (Trussel Trust Franchise)
Team Leader
Permanent Part Time role over 3 days each week for 3 core hours each session when the Foodbank is open, with some additional variable paid hours as the job requires. Pay rate £13.50 per hour (to be reviewed Apr 2024) Expenses 45p per mile. A self starter, you must be a good communicator with previous experience of leading a team and using current computer packages, particularly email and word-processing. Your duties will include: • Managing the Operation of the Foodbank within the guidelines of the franchise model • Liaising and building rapport with volunteers, clients, trustees, referral agencies and donors to build a support team that will provide a timely and confidential service to our clients in the community • Supervising and assisting in the work in the warehouse and administration office • Collecting food donations and supplies locally and delivering food parcels to clients You will be responsible to one of our Trustees for day to day operations. Previous experience in the voluntary / charitable sector would be an advantage. You must be a driver with a clean driving licence and a car owner. This course is free to those over 19 years of age. The course is delivered both online and face to face, covering: • Extended Award in Skills for Working in Construction and Building Level 1 • Health and Safety in the Construction Industry Level 1 This course is delivered on Tuesday mornings 9am–12pm, however once enrolled you can access the learning online and work through the units at home as well, with the Tutor available for support. It usually takes our learners 1-3 weeks and can be completed at times to suit you. Rehabilitation/Personal Care Assistants £15.00 per hour
We are seeking motivated energetic individuals that are happy to work flexibly supporting a charming young man with an acquired brain injury, epilepsy and complex and severe needs in his rehabilitation and daily living in a domestic environment based in Burton in Kendal. The young man requires 24/7 care support 7 days a week 365 days a year so the post holder will be expected to work on a rota basis. We aim to offer flexibility so you can gain a good work life balance and we currently offer 24/7 shifts from 10.00 am till 10.30am the next day. You can choose to take one or two of those per week the choice is yours and we pay the same rate for sleepover and day rate. We do expect you to work either a Saturday or Sunday every other weekend. You will be part of a friendly, supportive professional team who will support you in developing your skills and gain access to a range of learning and development opportunities. All staff undertake an induction programme and are supported developmentally through in-house training and regular CPD sessions and an annual appraisal process.
