Manifesto philosophy unbound

1. Philosophy unbound organizes a regular open stage for performative philosophy. 1.1 Why should open stages only be for Musicians? 1.2 The events will be held in two parts. 1.21 in the first part, we will have two to three selected acts, which are announced in advance. 1.211 We are very open to proposals of any kind - please send your ideas to philosophyunbound@inbox.com. 1.22 In the second part, we will open up the stage for spontaneous and un-announced performances, wild discussions, love-ins, riots or whatever. 1.3 This will slowly and if desired turn into a party, attempting a smooth transition of Nietzschean ‚dancing within thought‘ to literal dancing with our bodies. 2. Philosophy unbound provides a space for philosophy outside its domestic habitat of academia. 2.1 Where has the Agora gone? 3. If you ask yourself „is it philosophy what I do?“ we want to meet you. 3.11 We would like to make philosophy less elitist and more accessible to a wider public. 3.12 www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2gJamguN04. 4. music scenes. To us, it seems, philosophy is currently situated in our society, like it would be if music were only performed in the opera or huge concert halls - governmentally controlled and funded institutions. Whereas - for a musician - it is comparatively easy to gain access to an audience, networks, performances and touring possibilities, for a ‚philosopher‘ it feels awkward to even call oneself like that without having at least a doctorate from some university. This is sad, restraining and impeding a lot of potential within young and more experimental philosophy. 5. We celebrate philosophy‘s ancient plurality of form and media. 5.1 Juicy philosophical ideas exceed scientific standards and the scope of the medium of paper. 6. In the future we hope philosophy unbound will be geographically unbound. 6.1 We plan to connect to several like-minded structures in various cities and various countries to develop an international network for unbound or ‚underground‘ philosophy - to enable touring, ex- and interchange. 6.2 We are also open for other, similar ideas within our agenda or to alliances with other like-minded projects - contact us here: philosophyunbound@inbox.com 7.
