Players from each team on the field. 1 is usually the goalkeeper but doesn’t have to be.

The crosse (stick) will allow the ball to move freely within all parts of the head and pocket so that the ball may be dislodged without an excessively forceful check.

Substitutes per team. Unlimited substitutions can be made throughout the game.

The game will be suspended for 30 minutes following sight of lightning. The 30 mins will begin again after each lightning strike.

DRAW Each game will consist of 2 x 30 min halves Lacrosse field is 110m long x 60m wide 3 field officials control the game. The head official will begin the game in the centre position & rotate positions clockwise following every goal.

Yellow cards carry a 2 minute suspension - the penalised player may not be replaced. Red cards carry a full game suspension the penalised player may be replaced after 10 minutes or 5 minutes following a double yellow red card.

The game will start & re start with a draw. 2 players will compete for a ball placed between static sticks held parallel to the centre line in the air.

Overtime will be played (3 mins each way) in the event of a tie. If teams are still tied “sudden victory” will be decided by the first goal to be scored.

TIME-OUT

Each team will be given two 90 second time-outs during regulation play and one during overtime.

MEDIA ROOM The Media Room is situated in Starbucks in the main facility of Surrey Sports Park. Desks, power and internet access will be provided. The Media Room will be open from 10am - 7pm each day.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION Please make your way to the Media Room to collect your media accreditation between the following hours: Wednesday 12th July - 2pm-3pm Thursday 13th July 10am-12pm If you have not applied for media accreditation please contact the RWLC17 Lead Media Contact before travelling to the venue. Photographers will be issued with an official FIL Media bib when on site. This will need to be checked back into the Media Room before you leave the venue each day.

Social Media Please ensure you use the event # in all communications #RWLC17 Please be aware rights to game footage remains the property of FIL Rathbones Women’s Lacrosse World Cup. You are not permitted to film matches for the purposes of a live broadcast online or any broadcast on any platform. Media accreditation will be cancelled if these rights are ignored. RWLC17 Media Code Please ensure you uphold the RWLC17 media code at all times. Honesty Fairness Independence Respect for the rights of others Photographers All photographers will require a FIL media bib to be pitch-side. These will be collected from the Media Room and will require checking back in each day. If taking pictures pitch-side, please note you will not be permitted to stand behind either goal end of the pitch. You will also be restricted access to the team and official bench area. If you are asked to move from a position please respect the steward making the request. Player Interviews You will be permitted access to players 10 minutes after each match in the designated media area. Please provide your media contact with the name and nation of the player you would to interview 10 minutes prior to the end of the match.
