PA Classics’ Knightmare Rugby boys’ team competed in the Bishop Shanahan High School 10s tournament in Downingtown on April 18 against Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia and Montgomery/Bucks Rugby Club. The Knightmares won 27-0 against Roman Catholic and 5-0 against Montgomery/Bucks, dropping one match 12-21 to Bishop Shanahan. Scoring for the Knightmares were Donegal senior Taj Younger, Penn Manor junior Leif Heckaman, Hempfield seniors Luke Kreider and Nate Berger, and Hempfield juniors Jackson Pidcock and Jack Mulroney. The Knightmares will continue to compete in weekend tournaments through Sunday, May 16. Knightmares Rugby is open to all high school students, currently drawing players from Donegal, Eastern York, Hempfield, Penn Manor, and Pequea Valley school districts.
