June 8. “A-League of Our Own Negro Baseball League” The virtual event is being presented by the Chester County Library System (CCLS) at 6 p.m. The program will tell the story of the Negro Baseball League and highlight some of the influential players. Summer Reading Program Kickoff Coatesville Public Library, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. “Oceans of Possibilities” is the theme. Children may register for the program, which will run for eight weeks. The musical duo “Two of a Kind” will perform at 10:30 a.m. June 20. Cruisin’ Corvettes of Chester County Thorndale Inn 430 Bondsville Road, 6:30 p.m. The group of Corvette enthusiasts meets for dinner on the third Monday of each month. What motorcycles add in terms of speed and excitement, they may lose in safety, especially when compared to cars and trucks. However, the risks associated with riding motorcycles can be reduced with some simple safety precautions.
